She then wanted to sit back on the floor when she woke up. I set her down and, as she was playing, she started to make grunting noises and turned slightly pink. I didn't hear anything or smell anything, so I figured she hadn't really done anything. Five minutes later she let me know otherwise. She started to fuss and reached for me. The second I picked her up, I knew her diaper was completely loaded. When I turned her around, I noticed a giant brownish yellow stain on the back of her pjs. It was at least 2 inches across. When I got her on the changing table and opened her diaper, I nearly died. The whole back of her diaper was filled, along with most of her lower back being covered. The pjs had only absorbed a tiny bit of it. All I could think was, "She never did this when she was a newborn. She had maybe 2 blowouts in 5 months and now she's had 2 in the last 2 days. And of course, now she's a rolling, feet sucking, diaper grabbing 6 month old, who's nearly impossible to change when just wet and I have to clean up this mess!" I managed to keep in contained inside the pjs and not get it anywhere else. She was surprisingly cooperative too.
I decided to take a shower and get ready for the day afterwards. I put Adia in the bebe pod on the counter and she started babbling away to the mirror baby. I dressed her and like everyday, she watched me intently while I brushed my teeth and put in my contacts. I don't think we'll have too many problems getting her to brush her teeth (when she finally has some) because she always opens her mouth and watches when either Scott or I brush ours. I put her in her bouncy seat while I took a shower, and, like always, she didn't last the whole 10 minutes. She did get happy again when I put her back on the counter. It's a shame it's too dangerous to leave her up there while I shower, but we don't want any falling babies.
After my shower, we ate breakfast and not long after that Scott woke up. I was feeding Adia, trying to get her to go to sleep because she was obviously tired and hadn't had her normal nap in the stroller. The moment she saw him she lit up and her whole body started wiggling. Sleep was definitely a lost cause at that point. With barely any help, she sat up and put her arms out to him. She was so happy to see him. They played for a little bit too, her beaming the entire time.

Eventually she started to act sleepy again. I gave her a bottle and she fell asleep, just as Scott was getting ready to leave. She looks at him with the biggest eyes when she knows he's leaving. It's rather heartbreaking. We both ended up taking a nap on the couch for about a hour. She woke up VERY cranky. I'm still not sure what exactly woke her up either, but it was easy to tell it was much to soon.
She fussed for a bit, then played a for a bit, but then went back to fussing. By then it was dinner time. I stripped her down to a diaper and set her in the high chair. She seemed excited for dinner and I took that as a good sign. She ate all her oatmeal and sweet potatoes, without complaining. I made sure she had her own spoon to play with, which helped immensely.
It was soon bath time and Adia was excited. I put her back in the bebe pod and she went crazy. She got totally animated while staring at the mirror baby. She was also playing with one of the stacking cups. I sadly missed an awesome picture though. She got the cup stuck on her nose (not quite sure how, but she did) and just as the camera took the picture, it dropped. I was super bummed. It could have been a classic. Maybe she'll do it again sometime.

She didn't jump when I turned on the water this time. She looked slightly alarmed, but was also excited to get in the tub. I sat her down on the towel and she immediately lunged for the cups. She started splashing, with a smile on her face. She let me wash her off and lean her back in the water. She was then splashing with her feet. When I sat her back up, it was all splashing and smiles. It was one of the longest baths she's had in quite awhile.
