I took the girls to the mall a couple days ago. The twins love playing there as much as Adia, but Leia keeps trying to make a break for the exit.

Yesterday, Adia took the longest nap I think she's ever taken, except when she's sick. She got send to her room for a time out and after a 5 minutes, things got quiet. She normally pounds the door and yells to be released. That, of course, only means she ends up stuck longer. The twins were falling asleep though, so I had to wait until they were asleep before I checked on her. I was really hoping she hadn't destroyed the place. I went to lay Leia down and Adia was fast asleep in her bed! I couldn't believe it. Leia stayed asleep too, but the second I touched Mira, her eyes popped open. We ended up playing for the next hour until Leia woke back up. She loves when I chase her around and around the chair in our living room. She giggles hysterically every time I catch her.

Today we were able to play outside in the evening. The twins rolled around in the grass until Mira tried to run one way and Leia went the other.

It got so hot in the house though that Adia decided the best way to cool off was a bath. I think she had the right idea. I love the critters she's started drawing. They make me smile.

Celebrate

We celebrated Daddy's birthday last weekend. I made him a chocolate dipped strawberry cake that was delicious. It was a new recipe. Adia even liked it.

We went to the beach with some friends too. Adia loved having a playmate. They threw sand in the water, dug holes and were crazy. It was fun to watch. Leia ate plenty of sand, of course. Mira walked around. She's loving her new sandals.

We managed to get one really nice, warm day too. Daddy blew up the pool so Adia could splash in it. However, she thought it was much too cold. Daddy brought bucket after bucket of hot water out, but it didn't do any good. She still didn't last long. The twins tried it out though. Mira fell in and I don't think I've ever heard her scream like that before. She was seriously unhappy.

While Adia and I went for a walk the other night, she told me she wanted an orange cat someday. I asked her what she would name it. She thought for the longest time and finally said, "Mustard!" I really hope we do have an orange cat named Mustard. She also decided that we should have 2 other cats, Cheeto and Ranch. They would be orange and white.

We've had some nice days mixed in with lots of rain. Adia and the twins were so happy to finally get outside to play.

Adia loves drawing with chalk, especially if it involves hopscotch.

Daddy and I took Adia bowling last night. She made it through 3 games and even got a strike! She bowled really well. She was using bumpers, but she did really well.

Ever since we first fed ducks, Adia's been begging to do it again. We went swimming on Sunday and afterward we went on a long walk. The girls loved the pool. Mira kept trying to walk everywhere, which made her go under several times. Leia wanted to crawl, which really didn't work. They both splashed and played though. We managed to find some geese. Luckily, they were on the other side of the fence because the goslings came right up to Adia.

DiDi had Monday off and Adia spent most of the day with her. Daddy and I took the twins outside to play in the grass because it was finally dry. They didn't know what to think of it at all. Mira attempted walking in it, but fell quite a bit. Leia took off. She's got a seriously fast crawl.

The twins turned 11 months on Tuesday. I had to get pictures of them together. It's become exceedingly more difficult to get pictures of them. My girls won't sit still! Tuesday was no different.

It was another nice day so I took Adia to the pirate park. Little did I know, they turned on the water in the water play table. Adia quickly turned into a wet muddy mess.

The twins were ok at first, but they soon wanted to play too. My biggest problem is they both like to eat sand, Leia in particular. I really didn't want to deal with that, but they looked so sad and pitiful so I eventually let them out. That was a bit of a disaster. I think Leia ate her weight in sand and mud. Apparently it tastes better when it's more like mud soup.

Walking and Singing

Mira's been walking everywhere lately! It's so cute to see her toddle around. She's getting so much more confident on her feet. I put soft soled shoes on her today and she was ticked. Apparently she doesn't quite understand shoes.

I also have to share her singing into Adia's microphone. It's just too funny.

Winchester Bay

We went on a hike and then to Winchester Bay the Monday after Rhody weekend. Daddy drove over early in the morning so he wouldn't miss out. Adia and the twins enjoyed the hike. We saw several LARGE banana slugs. They were at least 6in long. I haven't seen many of them lately so it was cool to show Adia. We didn't see any salamanders, dragon flies, nutria or beavers though.

We ate lunch in Winchester Bay. Adia and the twins gobbled down 2 burgers, applesauce and fries. They were starving. Then Adia got to play at the park that was just a short walk from the restaurant. She loved that and didn't want to leave. The twins enjoyed it for quite a long time too. I fear all three of my girls are going to enjoy carnival rides, the scarier the better. I hope Daddy and Papa are prepared because the simple little merry-go-round makes my tummy churn.

Notice the lack of Adia pics... well, she does everything in her power to avoid the camera. It's super frustrating and I hope she grows out of it soon. She probably will just as the twins decide they hate the camera. Right now they're all smiles and silliness when the camera comes out.

We haven't been up to very much since we got home because the weather has been super icky. Lots and lots of rain. We're only 4 days in and we've already broken records for the wettest June on record. Adia is NOT happy about it in the least. She wants to go to the park. Hopefully this weekend will be better. The one day we had planned on playing at the park and going swimming, Adia woke up puking. She slept 16 hours and vomited first thing in the morning. Not fun. She then puked 3 more times and couldn't even keep water down. It got so bad and she was complaining of a tummy ache that I took her to the doctor. They gave her a popcicle, she drank some water and then I had to get a urine sample from her. I definitely hope I never need to do that again. All she had to do was pee in the frickin' cup, but she acted like it was some sort of torture. Luckily, she doesn't have a urinary tract infection and she didn't puke again. In fact, we got back home and she was back to normal Adia.

While we've been staying in doors, I've had to find some activities to keep her busy. We visited Gramma and Papa on Tuesday. She had a blast and didn't want to leave. Papa even made us s'mores. Wednesday we got drenched trying to get in and out of the mall. Thursday, the girls took multiple baths.

Today we did tie dye. Surprisingly, Adia didn't make that big of a mess. I managed to dye the bottom of my right foot green and she got her arms, but my table, floor and clothes were just fine. My hands are also green now because I didn't wear gloves to take off all the rubber bands this evening. The shirts look awesome. Adia said she can't wait to wear hers.
