When she woke up, she wanted to play. We played on the floor for quite awhile. She's getting so good at sitting on her own, and playing on her own. She really likes the activity cube we got her, even though it supposed to be for 12+ months. Today she took the phone part off and was sucking on it. She also figured out how to turn on the gloworm. She likes chewing on its "ears". She refused to show Scott how she can roll though. Whenever she'd lay down, she'd just grab her feet, but no rolling. She's my stubborn little girl.
Gotta love the CLEAN laundry in the background. Time to wash it, just not fold it.
We then went to run a bunch of errands. The first stop was the mall to look for Scott's Dark Tower comic. We couldn't find it, but Adia had fun people watching while in the bijorn. She also got plenty of OOhs and AAhs from admirers. She's such a flirt. After the mall it was lunch. Adia played with toys while trader her back and forth. It's hard to eat with her in your lap anymore though. She grabs at everything and was even attempting to get Scott's water glass. Soon she'll be able to have it all and things will get VERY interesting.
We made a stop at Old Navy to look for a Halloween costume for Adia. No luck, but she did get some cute clothes for cheap. She got an awesome pair of denim overalls for $4 and a long sleeved thermal onesie for $5. She'll wear those when we go to the pumpkin patch. I can't wait! She'll look so cute and we'll get TONS of pictures of her with pumpkins. I guess I'll finally find out how many pictures our video card can hold.
Then it was a quick run to Blockbuster and to the grocery store. Adia rode in the Bijorn again. She was getting tired so she wasn't as talkative. On our way back home she fell asleep in her car seat. She was in such a deep sleep that she didn't even wake up when I took her out and brought her in the house. I was even able to lay her in her crib without her waking up. She slept for a little bit longer, but woke starving. She hadn't eaten in all the time we'd been out. Scott held her and fed her, but she wasn't going back to sleep. She wanted to play a little bit. Scott got on the floor with her, but her eyes were only for me. He stood her up near the edge of the couch and she grabbed on. She ended up standing all by herself, with perfect balance and all. She started trying to grab the remotes off the couch, but eventually got bored with it.
She soon let us know it was dinnertime. I set her in her high chair, after stripping her down to a diaper. Yesterday it didn't seem to matter she was wearing a bib or not since she covered her onesie in sweet potatoed oatmeal so today I figured a naked baby would be easier to clean. Of course tonight she decided to eat like a pro and hardly got food anywhere except in her mouth. That always has to happen, right? I was amazed at how well she ate. I made her about 2 tablespoons of oatmeal and mixed in some sweet potatoes. She gobbled it right up, opening her mouth HUGE everytime. After she finished that she started screaming because I wasn't feeding her anymore. I couldn't make more fast enough for her. She ended up eating about half of that. So a total of about 2.5 tablespoons! I was in shock. For anyone having feeding issues reading this, I'd recommend getting them used to either oatmeal or rice cereal and then added a teaspoon or so of whatever fruit or veggie you want to introduce. It worked wonders for Adia.
Then it was bath time to clean up my little slimer. She talked to the mirror baby while I got the bath ready. She was a little confused to see Scott too. He's hasn't been home for bath time in a week. I got her in the tub, but realized there wasn't enough water. I tried to put more in while she was sitting there. Big mistake! The sound of the running water scared her half to death and she tried to get out. I picked her up and put her in my lap to calm her, but I still had a hard time convincing her to get back in after the water was off. Eventually she forgot about it and went to playing with her cups. She was all smiles and got excited when Scott played. He would hold a stacking cup full of water up and the water would drain out the bottom. She kept running her hand through the streams of water. When he'd go to refill the cup, she'd turn to signal she wanted out, but would get sidetracked again when the water would fall. Eventually she'd had enough though and was ready to get out.

After her bath we snuggled on the couch. At first she was squirmy and kept hitting the bottle with her hand. Slowly she started to get quieter and less squirmy. By 8 she was out cold, after drinking nearly 5oz. She was in her crib by 8:15. I'm thinking she'll sleep well tonight with a VERY fully tummy. That is as long as she doesn't roll on her tummy and get stuck.
