We took our showers and then headed out to run a few errands and have lunch. Adia was being a goofball in the back seat with me. She was babbling like crazy and blowing bubbles. She really loves to talk. She was also going crazy with her crinkle paper.
We went to lunch at Applebee's and Adia sat in a high chair again. She didn't last the entire meal, but she did pretty good. She was looking around at everything on the walls and doing some people watching. We used the same cover on the high chair as we did in the cart.

After Applebee's we headed over to Target for diapers. Of course we got diapers and then some. Adia got a new toy and we got a truck for her cousin. Since we were just planning on getting diapers, Adia wasn't in the bijorn or the cart. I was carrying her. We had a bottle with us because she was acting hungry and she ended up falling asleep before we left. She slept all the way home and only woke when Scott closed his door. She looked over at me, looked a little confused, but then smiled.
It was time for a diaper change when we got inside. She was rolling around and smiling, as usual. She's great about letting me change her diapers. My only problem is she constantly grabs her feet and starts sucking on them. It makes it really difficult to fasten the diaper. Sometimes she'll let me borrow a foot so I can fasten one side, then I trade feet. It's funny. At least I know she's happy when she's got her feet.
Once she was clean, she started reaching for Scott. He took her and she promptly had another explosion. Her butt was starting to look red, so she got slathered in diaper rash cream. I hope it looks better soon. It can't feel very good. She started crying after she was all clean. You could tell she was hungry. I made her 4oz and Scott started feeding her. She quickly finished off that 4 and another 2. She kept trying to put the empty bottle in her mouth. So I made her another 2, after which she fell asleep.
Her nap didn't last long. She was up and playing with Scott soon after. She loves playing with him. They were both sitting on the floor and she was playing with the tag on her block. They played for quite awhile. He continued to play with her while I made dinner. Right before dinner she started screaming again. He tried feeding her, but she wasn't too interested.
Since dinner was ready, into the high chair she went. I thought she was going to keep screaming, but I had oatmeal ready, just in case. To our surprise, she quieted after the first bite. She kept opening her mouth big for the next bite and swallowing almost every bit. She still managed to make a big mess, but that's probably because she wanted to help feed herself. Every time she'd take a bite, I'd say "mmmmm" and she would smile and laugh at me. She ended up finishing ALL the oatmeal I made. I'm sure if there had been more, she would have eaten that too. When we were out, she seemed thirsty so I put some water in a sippy cup. Her expression was priceless when she first tasted it. I changed it to formula and she happily took it. She's great at holding the cup and getting the "spout" in her mouth. If the her cup (or any one's cup) gets anywhere within reach. she'll grab it and try to drink out of it. Her biggest problem is swallowing fast enough. She usually drools most of it down her chin. She still uses slow flow nipples, but she'll figure it out eventually.
Sippy cups are fun
Scott cleaned her up a bit and when he picked her up, he noticed she smelled a little funky. He gave her to me to change this time. It was a little poopy, but it was still her third one today. I know that oatmeal's supposed to loosen things up, but I had no idea it would do that.
Then came bath time. She played with her cups and turtles for a bit, but was mostly interested in Scott. He came over and sat next to the tub so she could grab onto him. She even held onto the edge of the tub and him and took a few steps in the tub. When Scott was drying her off on the counter, she started laughing at him. She was in such a good mood.
She snuggled up with me on the couch with her bottle. She was so tired that she dozed off after only 2oz. She woke a little bit later and drank 2 more.
