Adia was up a few times during the night. She was stuck on her tummy each time. She was up for the day at 6:45 and into the jumperoo she went. She didn't last long, so we had breakfast. Adia only lasted through a couple bites before she got cranky. I cleaned her off and dressed her for our walk. Long sleeves, jeans, uggs and a hat. She didn't mind the hat at all. I think it was because it was small enough that it didn't cover her eyes. She talked to the chicken for most of the walk and on the way back, she started getting upset. I knew it was because she was tired and within 5 minutes, she was out. She slept all the way home, through me carrying her up the stairs still in her stroller and my shower. She would have slept even longer if I hadn't bumped one of her toys. She woke up, but was at least happy about it.

before and after

I took of all her warm stuff, but her toes were still cold. She then let me know she was hungry, so I gave her a bottle. There was something wrong with the nipple though and it ended up pouring all over her. She got soaked so I had to change her again. Then she wanted to play, mostly because she hadn't pooped yet. After being on the floor for only a few minutes, she went. After changing that diaper, she wanted to go back to playing. She played by herself for quite awhile and then we woke Scott up.

She had a big grin on her face when she saw him. Then she started to get fussy. He gave her a bottle and she slept in his arms for 30 minutes. I guess she needs her daily daddy nap. She woke up disoriented, but happy and wanted to play. She sat on the couch with Scott and played while I made lunch. I took her back while Scott showered and then he got her back while I dished out lunch. That became a problem because she was very much in mommy mode. The second she saw me, both arms would reach out and she'd start fussing. I sat next to her on the floor to eat, but it wasn't good enough. She wanted to be held the entire time.

sitting on the couch, next to daddy

She soon started rubbing her eyes and crying. I made her 3 ounces and cuddled up with her on the couch. We both fell asleep for 30 minutes, until my cell phone went off. Stupid wrong numbers. Adia woke up crying, so in went the bottle again. She finished it, but wouldn't stay asleep. She was pretty grumpy, but slowly came out of it. She wanted to play some more. She loves the two small metal mixing bowls I let her play with. She uses the smaller one like a drum, pounding on it with her hands or other toys. The slight larger one we keep putting her toys in and she likes shaking it to make all sorts of noise. Then there's also the tag on the boppy that she's in love with.

She played for a bit, but it didn't last long. She was cranky and very clingy. We practiced standing while she held onto the couch. She'd did really well. She even started using my arms to pull herself up. She fussed while trying to stand, but once she did it, she looked proud. We walked to get the mail and she wanted to help hold it while we walked back. She particularly liked the set of coupons that came because they had a baby on the cover. When we got back, she wouldn't let me set her down. It was close to 5pm so I knew she was getting tired. I made her a bottle and she slept on me until 5:45. She then played on the floor for 20 minutes.

After playing, we ate dinner. I tried carrots today, but she wasn't really interested. She didn't eat very much of her oatmeal and sweet potatoes either. She was in love with her sippy cup though. She drank quite a bit of water and she hardly lost any of it down her chin. After dinner was bathtime. She played in the mirror for quite awhile and then into the bath she went. She played with the cups for a bit, but it didn't last long. I laid her back to wash her hair and she started playing again. She was grabbing my arms and her feet. Then sucking on her toes. I think that's her favorite passtime. When I sat her back up, she tried to pull herself up on the side of the tub. I picked her up and wrapped her in her hooded towel. Then it was onto the counter to play with mirror baby some more while she got dressed. She didn't laugh this time, but she did have a big grin on her face.

After her bath, she snuggled up against me and only drank an ounce before falling asleep. It was only 7:00 so I knew she wasn't really asleep. She did wake back up and drink another 2 ounces. By then it was 7:45 and I knew it was a real possibility that she was out for the night (well, the beginning part of it). I laid her down in her crib at 8pm and she's still asleep half a hour later. I'll have to check on her soon to make sure she hasn't flipped over.
