She was up for the day at 7. I set her on the floor with all her toys and she started moving around the living room. She saw me sitting on the couch and started rolling my direction. When she got to my feet she started crying. I picked her up and it was obvious that she had pooped. I cleaned her up and set her back on the living room floor. She started cruising around again and headed my direction. I thought that I had barricaded the couch so she couldn't go under it again. I was wrong. She found the only section that wasn't and proceeded to go under it. She was right under my legs so I didn't think too much of it until she started screaming. I went to grab her to pull her out and she didn't move, but the screaming got louder. That's when I realized that she was stuck. Her head was stuck because she had gone underneath with her head to the side, only to have turned it once she was under. She couldn't get herself out. I careful maneuvered her out, but she was screaming with tears just streaming down her face. I felt so bad for her. I told Scott we needed to get rid of the couch and he agreed. It's going to be our Christmas present from his parents, hopefully.
It was nearly impossible to get her to stop crying. She was also tired and cranky too. I made her a bottle, which she quickly finished so I made her more. She finished half of that and fell fast asleep. She slept for over 2 1/2 hour in my lap. I was a little worried since she never normally sleeps that long, but she had a tough night too. She was happy when she woke up. I set her on the floor to grab her clothes since she was still in her pjs. I was going to just change her, diaper and all, in the living room. Then we'd go take some pictures outside and grab the mail. The second I opened her pjs, I knew that wasn't going to work. She had poop all the way up her back, all the way to her shoulder blades. I carefully picked her up and took her into her room. It took a lot of work to get her all cleaned off without getting poop anywhere else. She was really happy to be clean though.
After getting her dressed, we headed outside. I was trying to get some good, happy pictures of her, but she refused to look up. She only wanted to eat the leaves, the grass, anything she could reach. The whole time she never even noticed I was there. It didn't work too well, but at least she was happy. She really enjoys being outside. I did get a couple cute pics though. The hat's a little big, but it still worked. Adia got mad when I took it off. She really enjoys wearing hats, probably because she doesn't have much hair to keep her head warm.
When we came back in she wanted to play on the floor. I set her down and off she went. She first headed towards the TV, then in my direction. She grinned huge when she got close and reached both her hands up, grabbing onto the side of the couch. In one swift movement, she was standing. Her grin got even wider, along with her eyes. I think she was just as shocked as I was. I didn't help her at all. She just stood there for a moment and then did a little jig in excitement. Of course she happened to let go at that moment and fell flat, hitting her head hard on the ground. The screaming started the second she hit and I just couldn't seem to comfort her. It broke my heart. I held her for the longest time before finally making a bottle. She drank it and fell asleep for over a hour.
She woke up right before Scott got home from work. She was all eyes for Daddy when she saw him. They played while I started dinner. Adia was a live wire, moving and climbing all over the place. It was starting to get late so we got her ready for dinner. She ate 1/2 a container of sweet potatoes and almost 1/2 a container of YoBaby. We tried mixed berry today, but she prefers the apple. (I do too.) She also had a few puffs, but wasn't that interested in them.
I took a bath with her tonight. By then DiDi and Tanae had arrived. Adia and Tanae were really happy to see each other. Adia splashed like crazy in the tub and Tanae joined in without ever climbing in with us. Adia had no interest in sleeping when she got out though. She just wanted to play with Tanae. They did for a bit. DiDi discovered how much Adia wiggles anymore and how hard she is to hold onto. It's amazing how quickly they change. Adia also demonstrated her attempt at crawling.
Eventually both Adia and Tanae were getting cranky. DiDi took Tanae to try to get her settled down for sleep. I took Adia back. She drank a bottle and fell asleep. I hope we have a good night tonight because I'm really getting tired.
Adia's going to a birthday party tomorrow, my friend's daughter's 1st birthday! I can't believe she's already a year, but I'm also in shock that Adia's almost 8 months. They really do grown up too fast.
Oh, and I forgot to mention. If you hold Adia's hands now, she actually takes steps. It's a new development, a very new one and can definitely surprise you if you're not expecting it.

Poor thing, stuck under the couch. It's sad and funny at the same time. Hopefully y'all can get a new one and not have that happen again.
