After Adia woke up at 12:30, she slept with Scott in the living room. They let me sleep in until almost 9, but Adia was up at 7:30. We played briefly before she fell asleep at 10. I took my shower and when I got out, she was awake. It wasn't one of her 2 hour naps, but at least she woke up happy. Since I bought her a Santa hat yesterday, I thought we should get her dressed up and try to get a good Christmas picture. She had other plans though. She started playing and being totally goofy on the floor. I did manage to get her in a onesie, but the pants were another story.

I did finally get her dressed and we headed outside. Once again, she was more interested in everything else around her than me. She wouldn't look at me and when she did, she wouldn't smile. At least she wasn't eating leaves, but only because the leaves had been removed. She was picking grass and trying to eat it. We got one good pic where you can actually see her face, but she looks very grumpy. DiDi called it "The Grinch". Hopefully I can get a good one tomorrow. I really need to get my Christmas cards all ready to go or I'll never do it.

"The Grinch"

We then decided to run a bunch of errands. Our first stop was the post office. Adia was squealing and trying to make eye contact with everyone. If she actually succeeded, she'd smile and wait for them to smile back. Then it was Blockbuster. Adia got a new toy out of that stop. When we got to the counter, she was standing there and grabbed the girl baby Shrek. She had the biggest grin on her face so we bought her. After removing the tag, the started clutching the baby to her chest. She was in love. The cute part is the baby is even wearing a diaper.

"My Baby!"

Our last stop was the grocery store. She rode in the cart the whole time and babbled up a storm. She rode around with her tongue out. She's got to be getting her top teeth.

Adia took a nap when she got home and then it was playtime. She discovered the big bouncy ball tonight. She was bouncy it around until Scott and I got on the floor with her. Then we tried rolling it back and forth. She was laughing and grinning. Our game soon turned into soccer. I was holing her up with one arm and then would help her kick the ball. She thought that was the best game ever. I said kick every time she would kick and eventually she said kick too. She also started kicking on her own. It was so cool. It is definitely a game we'll play often.

It was then dinnertime. Adia ate a whole graham cracker, a little bit of banana, 1/2 a yogurt, some cheerios and some puffs. I think she would have eaten more yogurt if I hadn't run out of it in the dish. She's really starting to like solids and I'm really glad she is. She was completely covered in food though. She had graham cracker goobers everywhere.

Bath time was too short today. I put bubbles in the tub so Adia was happy. She loves bubble baths as much as her Mommy. She splashed for a little while and then tried to drink the bathwater using her cups. She even almost stood up on her own. Soon she was calling for Scoot though. He dressed her in the hallway while she tried to runaway.

Then we all played in the living room for a bit. She kept trying to get to the popcorn. Just 30 minutes after getting out of the tub she wanted her bottle. Scott snuggle up with her on the futon and she started to doze almost immediately. Scott says he'll take her tonight. Lets hope she sleeps.
