Another awful night. She didn't go to sleep until 11:30 and then woke up at 1:30, 4, 6 and was up for the day at 7. I was exhausted. Luckily Adia got tired after she pooped. We fell asleep for a hour. Then she was up and wanting to play again. She hadn't eaten since 4 though, but wasn't acting hungry. Adia started playing again while I put laundry in the dryer. Suddenly it got quiet and as any mother knows, when it's quiet, they're up to something. I turned around and Adia was standing, holding onto the bench. She had pulled herself to standing, which isn't too big of a deal since she's been doing it for the last couple weeks, but she had maneuvered herself into the right position. She had the biggest grin on her face while she played with the toys on top of the bench. Everything would have been fine, but she accidentally pulled it down, taking herself with it. On her way down, she grabbed another toy and almost made it land on her head. She started crying then, but it was more from being scared than hurt.

I couldn't get her to stop crying so I made her a bottle. She drank it all and then fell asleep. She slept for over two hours. I couldn't believe it. Normally when she's exhausted she won't nap at all. When she woke up, she looked around. I said, "Hi Adia!" and the moment she heard my voice and her name, she grinned and was all eyes for me. I crawled over to her and I've never seen a bigger smile. We played and were goofy the rest of the afternoon until Scott got home. She even handed me a book to read to her.

She was really happy to see Scott. All she wanted was daddy! They played for a little bit before she got fussy again. Scott gave her a bottle and she fell asleep again. She slept for about a hour before waking with a grin. We decided we'd go out to eat and headed to Red Robin. Adia loves that place since there's so much to see. She sat in the high chair the whole time and ate cheerios and puffs. She also watched all the servers. At one point she even had a teenage boy from another table making eyes at her. She flirted back at him!

When we got home, Adia wanted dinner. Scott put her in the high chair and she finished off 1/2 a yogurt. I got her more, but she decided then that she didn't want anymore. Bath time was interesting. It was another in and out bath. I don't know why she hasn't wanted to take them later. She was all smiles and squeals while Scott dressed her though. She played briefly before getting upset again. I gave her a bottle, in hopes that she would sleep, but that didn't happen. She went back to playing. She was standing at the bench again when she let go and landed hard on the ground. She started bawling, with tears streaming down her face. It took forever to quiet her. When she finally did, I thought she'd relax enough to sleep. Wrong again.

She was playing on the floor again when Gamma and Gampa G arrived. She wasn't so sure about them at first, but quickly lightened up. She is now playing with Gampa on the floor. She keeps laying her head down like she's tired, but she won't let herself fall asleep. I can always hope for a good night, but I don't think we're going to get it.

Oh, before I forget. Scott was pleasantly surprised that Adia responds to her name now. I guess I forgot to tell him. She's been doing it for the last couple days and doing it rather consistently.
