It was another bad night of Adia waking up constantly. Scott moved to the couch around 4am so he could get a little bit of sleep. She was up for the day at 7am, but started it screaming. I haven't seen one of her happy morning smiles in a long time. It makes me sad. :( After a diaper change and a few minutes of playtime, she did start to smile. That made me feel a little better, but I was still exhausted. Eventually she started fussing and I picked her up, only to discover an interesting smell. It was a little poopy, but it was definitely a poopy. I cleaned her up and noticed she felt a little warm. I took her temperature, which she didn't complain about because I let her chew on the thermometer holder. She had a low grade fever so I gave her some Tylenol. Within 30 minutes, she was practically bouncing off the walls. It certainly made a difference in her mood. She still screaming through my entire shower, but I guessed she was exhausted. I was right. After my shower, I gave her a bottle and she napped for a little while. It wasn't long enough, even though I was greeted with a nice grin.

She went back to playing on the floor when she woke up. She took off to her toy basket and when she tired of that, she went for the bouncy seat. Yesterday she turned it on and made it vibrate. She was trying to do it again today. Not long after Gamma and Gampa G arrived. She smiled huge when she saw them. It's been a little while and she gets so excited. They brought gifts for her. A new pink outfit from her Great Aunt and a new toy. She LOVED the new toy from the first moment she had it in her mouth. We then headed out to have lunch with Scott. Adia wasn't entirely happy to be put in the car seat, but she stopped complaining and started looking out the window. She was really surprised to see Scott. We used her stroller to get around campus and she was perfectly happy. We stopped and got Subway for lunch. Adia made googly eyes at everyone and quickly had every one's attention. She had a whole group of girls waving and cooing at her. You could tell she was very happy about that. Everywhere we walked on campus, a student would say how cute she was.

Scott doesn't get much time for lunch so we were headed out again. Adia, Gamma G, Gampa G and I were all looking for a couch. We went to Brenners first. That's where Scott and I had planned on looking on Thursday, but ran out of steam before it happened. Everything they had was either overpriced or too high off the ground. Gamma G did manage to put Adia to sleep while she carried her around. The salesman thought she was a newborn. Umm.. she's just a tad big for that.

We then tried BigLots with no luck, but Adia had fun. She checked out all the Christmas lights with Gampa G, then tested out all the couches and chairs. She particularly liked the cuddle seat. Gamma G bought her a new toy, which is VERY loud, but of course that makes her happy.

Our last stop was Scott and my first stop on Thursday. I just couldn't get that green couch out of my mind. I showed Gamma and Gampa G the two couches I liked and we all tried them out. Gamma G got sidetracked by bed and Adia got to try them out. The second I set her on one, she started jumping like crazy while she held hands with me. She knows exactly what to do on a nice big bed! Then it was back to couches. Adia tried sitting on both. She sat happily on my #1 favorite, but when I set her on the 2nd one, she tried to crawl off immediately. Then she tried standing next to them. She stood happily next to couch #1, but wasn't interested in #2. I didn't like the color of the 2nd couch so we asked how much it would be to order one. While the in store one was quite a bit cheaper than my #1 choice, if we got it in a color I wanted, it would cost nearly as much. Gamma and Gampa G decided to let me get my #1 choice and I'm so excited! No more of Adia getting stuck under our couch or smashing her head against the arms! Adia was happy over their decision too.

It was getting late and Gamma and Gampa G still a long drive. They took us home and played with Adia while I surgically removed her new toy from it's packaging. Adia really loved that new toy too. It's a Little People toy so she instantly attacked the little people. Thanks to Tanae, Adia has a passion for them. Gamma and Gampa G soon left, but we'll be seeing them again on Monday. Hopefully we'll be able to bring the new couch home then too.

Looking up at Gamma and Gampa G

Adia started to get fussy again, even though she had just done a full lap around the living room. I picked her up and held her hands. She started jumping so I set her in the jumperoo. She went crazy. Not long after Scott came home. She was really excited to see him. He played with her for a little while, but she started to get fussy for him too. She wanted her dinner. She ate half a yogurt and some fruity cheerios, but started to get really upset. She took her fluoride easily, but then started screaming again. When Scott pulled her out and took her into the bathroom, he discovered the problem. She'd pooped while in the high chair. No wonder she didn't want to eat. Scott cleaned her up, and it was a nasty one, then handed her to me in the tub. Adia started splashing immediately while I washed her down. She didn't last long because she was exhausted from such a long day. She squirmed and tried to crawl away while Scott tried to dry her off so they ended up on the hallway floor. Adia was perfectly happy about it since she could attack the wall.

Adia didn't act hungry right away so we tried to let her play. It didn't last very long either. She started crying and trying to crawl to me. Scott made a bottle and I held her. She fell asleep almost instantly. I had to wake her up to get her to drink more. She was out cold by 9pm. I was able to lay her down without a fuss. I hope it lasts!
