Mommy's Early Bday Celebration

Adia slept with DiDi and Tanae last night. She woke up only once in the night and didn't cry when she did. She easily drank her bottle and fell back asleep. She woke up around 7:30 and started crying. That woke Tanae up who started complaining because she was awake too early. Everything was fine though once they noticed each other. They were SO happy to see each other. Tanae started smiling and so did Adia. Then the babbling started. For the next two hours, Adia and Tanae played on the floor together. DiDi sat with them, just to make sure the sharing happened like it was supposed to. Tanae did really well and when she didn't, Adia tried to come after her for whatever toys was stolen. Soon afterwards Adia fell asleep and napped for over a hour.

The second I was ready to take a shower, Adia woke up. Scott showered first and then I did, each of us taking turns with Adia. DiDi then took us out to breakfast. Tanae and Adia sat in high chairs next to each other. We distracted Adia with toys. Every time she dropped one, Tanae and Adia would both look down at the ground between them. I was surprised Tanae didn't say "Uh Oh!" After a while the toys weren't enough to sidetrack Adia so she moved to Scott's lap and started eating puffs. She happily did that until we finished eating.

After breakfast, Scott, Adia and I went out to Scott's parents' house for my birthday party. Adia was happy to see Gampa G and spent most of the time playing with him. She loves to tug on his beard. We had dinner and then cake. Adia had fun seeing her Unky Eck, Auntie Colie and her grandparents. DiDi and Tanae came too. Adia got to try Gampa G's homemade ice cream and she HATED it. She made an awful face and spit it right back out. She just doesn't seem to like ice cream at all.


It was starting to get late and Scott and I wanted to go to the casino so we drove back to DiDi's house. We left Adia with her and we left. Adia slept almost the entire time we were gone. When she woke up, DiDi got her ready for dinner. Tanae was also ready for dinner. We got home just in time to feed her. She had carrots and apples with sweet potatoes again, but started to get really cranky. I got in the bath with her tonight and she never even noticed I was there. She had a good bath though and got squeaky clean. When she got out she played briefly before getting cranky. Scott picked her up and noticed she had pooped. My mom went to change her and it was all the way up her back and all over her pjs. She has one set of pjs that must be cursed. She either poops or pukes on it every time we put her in it. I think she's only successfully worn it twice. After getting changed and a quick wash up, she was back to playing on the floor with Tanae. She's not going to be happy when we go back to Eugene. She has so much fun with Tanae.
