I unwrapped and took my shower. Adia was playing in the bouncy seat, trying to rip the toy bar off. When I got out of the shower I saw that she had succeeded. She was chewing on it and grabbing the tag. When she dropped it, she was bent in two trying to reach it on the floor. She started fussing after I was dressed so I gave her a bottle. She fell asleep on the couch for a hour and woke up happy. Scott was up just a little bit afterwards. Adia was happy to see him and wanted to play. Scott was still sick though so he wasn't too up to playing. I did show him how much she liked to be in the wrap and got him to take pictures. It looks way more complicated than it really is.
After Adia spent some time playing on the floor and in the jumperoo, she started to get tired again. She happily laid on Scott while she drank a bottle. She then fell asleep next to him. We played Halo while she slept. She woke up with a start, but was still happy. She reached up and started playing with the cords on his pjs. She thinks they're the coolest things ever. I bet she could play with them for hours.
She then went back to playing on the floor when she did get bored with the strings. When she got fussy again, only Mommy would do. She clung to me and wouldn't let me set her down. That's when we decided to go take a walk to get the mail. I put on the wrap again and tried a different position. It was called the hug hold and Adia wasn't too thrilled by it. She does not like facing towards me, she only likes to face out. I did find out that some of my pregnancy clothes will still come in handy. I order to keep us both warm and dry while we got the mail, I grabbed my pregnancy raincoat. I put in on over the wrap and zipped it up most of the way. It worked really well except being a little short. Her toes hung out the bottom, but she didn't seem to mind. She smiled at Scott the whole way there and back. We happened to miss the torrential rain showers we got today. Just minutes after getting back in, the sky let loose again. There was even thunder. Adia wasn't phased in the least.
After another nap and more playtime, Adia went back into Mommy mode. I think she's really hit the whole separation anxiety thing. She's ok with Scott as long as I'm nearby and will even have fun with her grandmas, but it always goes back to Mommy Mommy Mommy. I think it's the biggest reason why she can no longer sleep in her crib. I don't know how we're going to overcome it, but neither of us or sleeping well lately. I thought I'd try the hip hold with her so I could get some things done while holding her. I wrapped myself and tried to put her in it. No luck, her legs aren't long enough and she kept trying to wiggle out. I guess I'm going to have to wait until she's older.
We played a little more and she fell back asleep on Scott, but not for long. When she woke up, she grabbed her bottle and put it in her mouth. She finished it and looked upset. She kept sucking on the bottle. I made her more and she grabbed that bottle too. She didn't drink much of it though. She ended up playing with Scott while I made dinner. She started to get fussy around dinnertime. Scott stripped her and she got happy once she was strapped into the high chair. I handed her her spoon and she started banging it on the tray before chewing on it. She wasn't too eager to eat though. She just wanted to stare and smile at Scott. In the process, making a huge mess with her sweet potatoes and pears. When I gave her the sippy cup, it was even more of a disaster. She'd drink a bunch and fill her mouth. Then she'd look at Scott, smile and drool it all down her chin. It did a good job of cleaning her chin, but she soaked herself. She only got upset when I cleaned her off, but cheered up the second Scott carried her into the bathroom.
Her bath started off really well. She was playing, smiling and babbling like crazy. She kept saying, "bob bob bob" so we've decided Mirror Baby's real name is Bob. She even smiles when you say it. Since she had gotten sweet potatoes in her hair, I had to wash it. Adia started crying the second I laid her back. She didn't stop until I started saying bob. Then she was all smiles again. Scott dressed her while I got a bottle ready
I can hear the ocean, I swear

After trying to get her to sleep, I gave up and let her play some more. She eventually ended up standing on Scott, smiling at me. She then went back to playing for at least a hour before getting fussy. I got her back and tried to give her the bottle, but she just arched her back. After a lot of perseverance, I got her to take it. She drank 2oz before falling asleep. She's still laying on me. I'm debating whether it's worth trying to lay her down.
