It was a bad night last night. She was in her crib by 9pm, but woke up at 10:30. We tried rocking her, feeding her, changing her, but nothing worked. She would not go back to sleep. She was awake and crying until 1:30am. I fed her a bottle while she laid next to me and eventually she relaxed enough to sleep. I picked her up and laid her in her crib. Her music was on and she didn't twitch so I thought we were good. She was up for the day at 6. Scott took her into the living room, hoping she'd go to sleep again, but she wouldn't. She was wide awake and really cranky.

She was happy to see me when I got up, but still kinda cranky. I wanted to take a shower and Adia was being really clingy so I showered with her. She clung to me the entire time and let the water run through her fingers. She would also try to catch the splatters on her tongue. It was really cute. When it was time to get out, she didn't want to let go of me. I eventually pried her off of me to hand her to Scott. He got her dressed while I got dressed. I took her back and once again she clung to me. I made her a bottle and snuggled on the couch with her. She ended up taking a nap.

She was a happy girl when she woke up. We played a little bit before Scott got her dressed and put her shoes on. Then it was time to head out the door. Scott needed to stop by work to do some paperwork. Then we made a stop at Bambini to look for a tutu for Adia's Halloween costume. We actually found one. It's a little too big, but it was only $13. She'll certainly be wearing it for years to come. While we were driving back, Adia started crying. I made her a bottle and she fell asleep. Scott took her out of the car seat at home, but she still woke up. She desperately needed a nap, but she would not go back to sleep. For the next hour and a half, she cried nonstop. It didn't matter whether we held her or sat her on the floor. She would just cry and cry.

Eventually I was able to get her to fall asleep while she drank a bottle. It took some effort, but when she woke up she was in a better mood. She played while I got dinner ready. Scott stripped her and set her in the high chair. She was happy to eat puffs and biter biscuits, but wanted nothing to do with the actual food. I tried giving her some sweet potato chunks, but she wanted nothing to do with them. She drank some from her sippy cup, but wasn't really interested in anything.

Bath time was fun though. She really started splashing like crazy. Water was going everywhere and she was having a blast. She let us know it was time to get out by grabbing the side of the tub and trying to pull herself out. She also had fun with Bob. She started babbling at him until she noticed the faucet. Then it was all over. She just wanted to play with the faucet and get in the sink. Scott eventually got her dressed while I got ready on the couch.

Adia snuggled down in my lap and started eating, but soon started arching her back. She didn't want to eat. I sat her up and the second she saw Scott, she smiled. She wanted to play. Scott set her on the floor and she played for a few minutes. Then she started crying again so Scott handed her back. I tried feeding her again, but she started arching her back and crying. That's when I smelled it. Scott hadn't put desitin on her so there was only one explanation for it. She'd pooped. Scott changed her and brought her back. Then she took her bottle and fell asleep. I laid her down in her crib and she slept for half a hour.

When she woke up my mom and Tanae were here. Adia looked totally confused, but was happy to see her. Tanae and Adia started hugging. Tanae even let Adia pull her hair. When Tanae got down and was walking around, Adia watched her every move. It was precious. Adia was all eyes for Tanae even though Tanae was exhausted. She even tried crawling off my mom's lap to get to Tanae and when that didn't work, she wiggled herself off into a standing position. Too bad Adia hasn't learned how to walk. Tanae came over to see Adia and it was hugs again.

Hopefully we can get her back to sleep soon. I don't want another repeat of last night.
