I Like Shoes

This post is dedicated to MCmommy. She's been answering questions on her blog and wanted us to answer "What is your most favorite pair of shoes in your closet and why?" I've talked recently about how much Adia loves shoes, so it really was a perfect question for her. Not to mention, shoe and shoes, have become two of her favorite words.

Everyday Adia brings several shoes to us. Note that I didn't say pairs of shoes because it is very rare that she'll actually bring two shoes, even rarer that it is a matching pair. She wants to walk around the house in them, one at a time. She goes through periods where she loves her sandals, her new crocs, her tennies and right now, she's all about her hot pink butterfly tennis shoes. I'm really glad she likes this pair so much since she's sure to outgrow them in the very near future. I bought them when she first began walking and they were a pretty close fit then. They're also super cute and go with just about anything.

having a tantrum because I wouldn't put them on immediately

playing (and getting into trouble) in a single shoe

Why Adia likes them, I'm not sure. All her shoes have velcro, so that can't be the only reason. All I know is that she can't take them off or put them on herself. She also walks really funny with only one on.

How much does she love shoes, listen to her yourself:

My shoe pick was a little more difficult to make. I debated sneakers or flip flops or heels, but in the end, I picked the pair that made me feel the best.

These are the boots Scott's mom, (Gamma), bought me on my birthday last year. I was (and still am) in the process of losing weight and I've always wanted boots like these. I was able to just barely zip them up and the rest of the boot fit perfectly. I had to have them so they were my birthday gift from her. It was a full body exercise to zip them over my fat calves though and I only wore them once. Now, 15 pounds lighter, they slide ride one. There's no huffing or puffing, no tugging at the zipper, no cussing. They are definitely one of my favorite pairs of shoes because they make me realize just how much weight I've lost. Now, if only I had more chance to wear them.
