We ate breakfast together. I made scrambled eggs for Adia, DiDi and myself. Adia gobbled them down. She even ate a few pieces of turkey bacon. We took a shower and headed out the door to do some shopping. We stopped at JC Penny first. While waiting for DiDi, Adia found a children's folding chair. She sat it in for ages. They were super on sale so DiDi bought it for her. Then it was time for a haircut for DiDi and a stop at Walmart and the grocery store. Adia watched DiDi get her haircut. She was quiet the whole time, just staring.
She started to get cranky at the grocery store though. It was long past her nap time. She fell asleep in the car on the way to Costco. I carried her through Costco, using the cart for some support. She woke back up when I set her in the carseat. Surprisingly, she was happy.
The weather was really starting to change by the time we got back to the house. The wind picked up, the clouds started to roll in and the temperature dropped drastically. We ate a late lunch and DiDi decided she should head back to Florence. We walked to get the mail first and nearly froze on the way there. Adia waved good bye to DiDi and DiDi drove home.
Adia was in a pretty good mood the rest of the day. She hung out with me while I made dinner and ate a big dinner herself. She ate her hamburger, some strawberries, a slice of toast and some cheese. I gave her some steamed broccoli too, but she just played with it.
Scott gave her a bath after dinner and then it was lots of playtime before she sacked out. She was really tired and didn't fight it too much. She was asleep by 9 and slept in her bed until 4am. Then we were up for the day at 7:30.
Scott let us know that it had snowed! I guess it was good that DiDi went home when she did. After breakfast, I took Adia outside and then for a walk. She was well layered and not happy to wear a hat or have a blanket on her legs. She did want to know what the weird slushy stuff was.
By the time we finished our walk, the snow was all gone. It was still really cold out, but not a cloud in the sky. She was happy to be home and just wanted a bath and bottle. We took a bath together and she drank a ton of milk before passing out.
On a sad note, you'll notice she's no longer wearing her pink butterfly tennies. I tried putting them on her this morning because they were the shoes she picked out, but the second I tried to get one foot in, she started screaming. I'm guessing she finally outgrew them. I hope DiDi can find the size 4 pair she bought her, but if she can't, Adia will just have to live in the brown soccer ball tennies until the weather warms up. She prefers sandals anyway.
