Despite Adia's new injuries, she had a pretty good day yesterday. We had a rough night because the melon was making it's way through her system, but after some liquid diarrhea, everything was good again. We played, took a shower and headed to Costco. She wanted to walk, as usual. Then it was back home for a nap. After her nap, we went for a walk to mail some pictures. Adia did not want to stay in the stroller. Scott carried her part of the way, we traded and then she walked for a little while.
After the walk, we jumped in the car to go to the mall. We were hoping the play area would be nearly empty so Adia could play. It was and she had a blast. She made a few new friends, one of which was around her age. She flirted with older boys and even went down the slide. She LOVED the slide, but couldn't figure out that climbing back up it wasn't an option. It was funny to watch her go down because she totally wipes out at the bottom. She fall flat. Both Scott and I thought for sure that she'd start screaming, but she got the biggest grin on her face, giggled, got back to her feet and wanted to do it all again. She's turning into a very rough and tumble kid.
We made one stop at the Childrens Place to buy Adia some new jeans. She's finally outgrown her 6-12 month Old Navy jeans and I accidentally bought her 18-24 month ones instead of 12-18. We used her birthday money for her new jeans (Thank you Great Grandma and Grandpa!) and some fun tights. She'll get tons of wear out of everything. I just hope they're not too huge. While I was shopping, Scott took Adia to the pet store. Apparently there's a puppy she wants to bring home. Maybe in a few years if we buy a house. I met them back in the mall and Adia came running into my arms. It was a Kodak moment for sure.
After the mall, I tried to get my haircut, but the line was too long so we went home instead. It was soon dinnertime. Adia kept squirming in her chair and touching her legs. I looked down and her legs were covered in eczema. It was the worst outbreak she'd ever had. After her bath we put hydro cortisone cream and lotion on it. She also had some one her face and chin. When I looked at her legs this morning, they looked so much better. I have no idea what caused it to happen, but hopefully it doesn't flare up again today.
