I guess Adia was tired too and went back to sleep on Scott. She did that the morning before too. If she wants to sleep, I don't usually have a problem with it, but when she takes such an early morning nap like this, she won't take another nap the rest of the day. That is most certainly a problem because she's exhausted by dinnertime and usually really cranky.
She wasn't too bad yesterday because when she tried to get cranky, we took her to the play area at the mall. That solved everything. I was a little hesitant to let her play because there were A LOT of kids, but Scott said we should let her try. She did really well, even with the loud, screaming boys that kept knocking her over. She'd get knocked flat, get back up and run off. One of the obnoxious boys even growled in her face. She looked like she was going to punch him in the nose, but she gave me a look like what's his problem and walked off. She loves the train and the slide. She almost made it up the slide stairs on her own, but she's not quite there yet.
There were actually a few kids around Adia's age there this time too. She totally avoided the little girl, but made a b-line for the little boy. He didn't know what to make of her. She tried playing with him, but he just started. Then she headed over to his parents. They quickly fell in love with her too. She wanted the dad to pick her up and then she played with his shirt while talking to the mom. It was adorable! When they set her down, she went running over to Scott, gave him a hug and then back to her boyfriend. She stood next to him, holding his hand for the longest time. He looked terrified. I was waiting for her to kiss him, but I guess she's not that brave yet.
Adia started to get tired though. I asked her if it was time to go bye bye and she handed Scott his shoes and then grabbed her own. We took that for a yes. She was cranky when we got home so I made dinner. She didn't want much to eat, but loved her strawberries. Then it was bath time and bed. She fell asleep by 8, but had a hard time staying asleep. She woke up several times before I brought her to bed with us. She was awake again at 6, but back to sleep until 8. Now she's carrying a rinsed out milk jug around the house. If it has a handle, it has to be carried.
