11 months!

We're still at DiDi's house. Scott's still sick and doesn't want to risk getting us sick. Adia's really missing her daddy though. She looks for him before every bath. I just hope she doesn't start walking before she sees him again. It's something he doesn't want to miss.

Yesterday Adia was pretty cranky and fussy. She started off the day with tons of smiles, but it deteriorated fast. She didn't want to play or cuddle, she just wanted to whine. Part of it was because of the horrendous diaper rash that suddenly appeared. Her tushie is raw and every time she poops, it gets worse. She screams through diaper changes and desperately tries to get away. We've been slathering her in Desitin, but every poop makes it worse.

Adia and I did go on a walk though. I don't have my stroller, but I was smart enough to grab my Kozy before Scott left. At only 17.5lbs, Adia still does a number on my back. We walked to the nearest grocery store to buy some stuff for dinner. Adia pointed at everything and enjoyed the outside time. We then met up with DiDi for another short walk before dinner.

Adia was definitely hungry last night. She wanted everything we were eating, but them suddenly started screaming bloody murder. We had no idea what was wrong. I took a guess that she had pooped. I was right. She had a perfectly good reason to scream and arch her back, her butt was so red and raw that she was almost bleeding! I carefully cleaned her off and painted on the desitin, but she still wasn't too interested in food.

my little dare devil

We played for a long time before she seemed interested in a bath. The bath wasn't very long, but she showed DiDi how she can splash on command. Adia decided it was time to get out when she removed the plug to let the water out. She fell asleep almost immediately once she had her bottle, but wouldn't stay asleep. We had a rough night. She kept crawling across the bed to sleep on my chest. I guess she still likes to hear my heartbeat while she sleeps.

We both woke up a little cranky today. Adia did play at first, but as soon as she pooped, she was unhappy. Her butt was sore again and of course she pooped twice during the morning. She didn't eat much breakfast, but did take a short nap.

We took a walk after her nap. We're starting to run low on desitin so off to the store we went. I planned on walking to Fred Meyer, but it was threatening rain so we didn't make it that far. We ended up in Rite Aid. I picked up some Desitin, A&D ointment and some infant tylenol. On our way back to DiDi's we picked up a movie for tonight. Adia had fun on the walk. I think she enjoys being worn and loves being outside. There was a cold wind, which made her smile every time it blew through her hair. When we got back and I took her out of the Kozy, she started crying. I changed her and gave her a bottle and she was happy again.

DiDi soon came home. Adia showed off by putting the triangle in the shape sorter. She then did the square. I still think it was a fluke, but it was good to see. She's just started putting toys inside other toys. She fills her little dump truck with blocks and then dumps it out. She also discovered how to flush the toilet today. Not always the best thing to know how to do. She's also destroying DiDi's house, by opening drawers and pulling everything out.

Adia was particularly funny in the bath tonight. She pulled the drain cover off again and dropped it at my feet. I thought she wanted to get out so I put it back on the side of the tub. I asked her if she wanted out and she looked worried. She quickly grabbed the drain cover and placed it back over the drain. She played with the frogs for a little while before standing up to get out. Then it was 8oz (!!!!!!) of formula and back to playing like a maniac. So far she's changed the channel multiple times.
