10 months

Somehow we're arrived on 10 months. Adia's still crawling everywhere and getting into everything. She's become really good at climbing over barricades. It usually ends up with an injury, but also the desired effect, Mommy! She is definitely Mommy's girl. She's also still sick and hasn't been letting me got online very much. We've been giving her Tylenol, but it's not helping much. I think it must just take the edge off.

She has had a fun week though. She spent New Year's Day with DiDi so Scott and I could go on a date. It was the first time we've ever left her to do bedtime with someone else. She had tons of fun with DiDi, even though she would hardly eat. When we got home at 9, Adia was peacefully asleep in her crib. She had gotten up shortly after falling asleep the first time and looked for us. She checked our usual spots on the couch and when she didn't find us, she was upset, but tired.

leaving to go on our date

The next day Gamma G came to visit. Adia spent a couple hours with her so Scott and I could run some errands. Adia had fun with her Gamma too and when we got back we all went to dinner. Adia sat in the high chair for a little bit, eating yogurt and cheerios, but it didn't last. She only wanted to be in my lap. I managed to hand her off to Gamma so I could eat with both hands.

Tanae and DiDi came back to visit yesterday. Adia and Tanae are almost the same size and love to play together. Tanae loves it when Adia chases after her. She starts giggling hysterically and then Adia starts laughing too. Adia's started having jealousy issues though. If DiDi or I pick up Tanae, Adia comes crawling over, demanding attention. DiDi let Scott and I go to another movie last night while she stayed with both girls. Everything would have been fine, but Tanae kept waking up Adia.

getting ambushed

This morning Adia and Tanae took a bath together. Adia was all smiles until Tanae tried to stop her from standing in the tub. Adia wanted out ASAP and started crying. They were back to being buddy buddy afterwards. The best part of having Tanae here is that Adia will actually eat. If Tanae eats it, Adia wants it too.

After breakfast, we headed to Walmart. Adia and Tanae rode in separate carts and weren't happy about it. Sometime we want to take them to Costco so they can sit next to each other. Adia didn't survive the shopping trip in the cart so I ended up holding her and we abandoned our cart. Tanae kept giving Adia hugs and trying to kiss her. Adia would smile at first, but then get spooked.

When we got back home, DiDi and Tanae headed back to the coast. Adia fell asleep, but it didn't last long. She didn't hardly nap at all today so she's starting to get a little cranky. Scott, Adia and I went to the store and Adia refused to ride in the cart. Scott ended up carrying her on his shoulders and she was in heaven. She loves being that high in the air. She was really cranky when we came back and has now fallen asleep in Scott's lap. Dinner will be slightly delayed tonight.
