Adia lucked out because she would get Mommy and Daddy all to herself on Daddy's days off. We went to storytime, made a carrot cake for Papa, dyed Easter Eggs, went out to lunch and frozen yogurt and a trip to Toys R Us.
Friday morning, we headed to the coast. Adia and I picked up the twins at DiDi's house and headed over to Gramma and Papa's house. The girls ran around outside and then Mira helped Papa make dinner before she jumped on his motorcycle. Then it was more running around outside.
The next morning Mira helped DiDi make pancakes. Then we headed to the Easter egg hunt. Adia was ready for it. The twins haven't really done one before. They filled their buckets and got plenty of candy.
After the Easter egg hunt, we headed up the coast to Sea Lion Caves. It was beautiful outside and hot. I don't remember the last time it was like that. Mira was in a terrible mood the entire time though. She whined, cried and fussed the entire time.
When we got back to Gramma and Papa's house, the girls dyed more eggs.
The girls didn't want to go to sleep Saturday night. They finally fell asleep after 10p! I thought for sure the Easter Bunny was going to fall asleep before they were. After they fell asleep, I filled their baskets, hid plastic eggs and made an egg trail down the stairs to their baskets. Mira was the first up at 7:30. Her very loud voice woke her sisters. When Adia saw the eggs on the stairs, she said, "We should pick up all the eggs so DiDi doesn't trip!" They did and Adia proceeded to find them all. We then went out to Gramma and Papa's for breakfast, or second breakfast since they'd already eaten quite a bit of candy. Of course there were more baskets and another egg hunt on Gramma and Papa's house, but they also ate some breakfast. DiDi arrived a few hours later. The girls played Uno with her while waiting for dinner. Mira was in a terrible mood though since she was tired. She wouldn't let me get a picture with DiDi and all the girls.
After dinner, the twins ran around outside with the occasional Mommy hug.
Then it was time for Papa's birthday cake. His birthday isn't for another week, but we didn't know when we'd all get together again.
