Christmas Eve

Adia and I spent most of the day trying to wrap presents and cuddling. Adia's really good at unwrapping everything you try to wrap, but wasn't so good a sleeping. The only way I could get her to nap was by holding her. She's still sick so she's very much into mommy. I thought her fever was gone by the morning, but it appeared once again in the late afternoon. I gave her more Tylenol and she passed out for a little bit. It didn't last long though.

When she woke up, she started crawling around crying "Dada!" It was close to the time he normally comes home. She was really excited to see him and crawled all over him while he laid on the floor. It was sweet to watch.

Adia refused to eat dinner. She's been doing that a lot lately. She also hasn't been drinking very much. I don't know how she's supposed to gain much weight at all. After dinner she had a fun bath time with Scott. She was in there forever. When she acted like she wanted out, Scott reached to grab her and she sat back down. Eventually she got out and I dressed her. She fought it at first, but then got sidetracked. It was time to open presents.

Adia had no idea what to do. She's great at tearing up magazines, newspapers and wrapping paper as long as it's something you don't want her to do. She managed to open two presents before getting sidetracked and just wanting to play. She really loved the car toy DiDi got her. There was no prying her away from it once it was out of the box. She also likes her new laptop. It's too advanced for her, but she'll figure it out eventually. The Little People were a hit too. She's been playing with the castle, but I've yet to take the dollhouse out of the box.

As soon as everything was open, she started to get cranky. I gave her a bottle and she was soon asleep. She woke up though when Scott said goodnight. Then we couldn't get her back to sleep. A couple hours later, she started to get cranky again. DiDi picked her up and noticed that Adia had a wet butt. Adia had had massive diarrhea and it has leaked out the sides of her diaper. We changed her, despite her protests and she was quickly asleep. Too bad she got it all over her Christmas pjs. She slept through the night with DiDi and I got a good nights sleep. It was needed since I seem to have caught the cold that Scott, DiDi and Adia all have.
