Ack!

So many pictures since I last posted. The girls haven't been giving me much time to type and I hate typing one handed.

Adia and I are still gluten free baking. We've made pumpkin muffins and chocolate pink M&M cookies lately. Gramma made Adia a matching apron too so now we both have cow print aprons! Adia loves to match so we had fun with that.




The twins have definitely started to really notice Adia lately. When they see her, you can watch as their faces completely light up. It's the cutest thing. Adia gets so excited too.




Adia's still playing with those binoculars too.


We did some shopping too. I had some things to return to Old Navy and DiDi came with us. Adia had fun with all the sunglasses and the mannequins.




Leia's recently discovered her thumb too. She can easily self soothe herself.


You gotta love baby smiles. I love how interactive they're getting.










I pulled out the bebe pod recently and bought a bumbo today. I can definitely say that the bumbo is the better of the two. I think the girls like it better too.













I wear one twin or the other in the Kozy most of the time so Adia wanted to ride in it too. She's getting close to the weight limit, but surprisingly, it's still not difficult to wear her on the front. She thought it was fun, but then started complaining that it's too tight. She does that every time.


Adia had a fun weekend with DiDi. She spent the night with her on Friday and then hung out with her most of Saturday and Sunday. We went to Toys R Us on Saturday and Adia has fun playing the the Thomas train set. DiDi read her stories before bed and not only did Adia enjoy it, but so did Leia. Afia ended up falling asleep mid-book. She slept in her bed until 5am, which was awesome. I just wish she'd go back to using the potty. She's completely lost interest in that.

The Coast

Before leaving for the coast, Adia, DiDi and I took a walk with the babies. It's fun to take them in the wagon, especially since Adia likes to pull them.




Colie also came back from a month in Germany. Adia missed her tons.


We headed to the coast for Monday and Tuesday. It was great timing since it was supposed to be in the 90s at home. We were surprised at how hot it was in Florence though. I kicked myself for not packing better, but it always seems to be chilly there, even when it's warm at home. Adia ended up skinny dipping in the pool at Gramma and Papa's house because I didn't bring her swim suit. We then had an awesome dinner, Adia took a bath and then fell asleep pretty fast.

The next day Papa made a big breakfast, including gluten free pancakes for Adia. She was super excited, but then didn't end up eating much. She couldn't wait to head to the aquarium and beach. It was a longer drive than normal with road construction in traffic, but Adia got a little nap on the way. She was asleep when we pulled into the parking lot and it took her a little bit to wake up. Once she was awake, she was raring to go. I think the one thing that really helped wake her up was nearly having a bat fly into her. Not your normal middle of the day occurrence.


The twins quickly fell back asleep in the stroller and Adia couldn't decide what she wanted to look at first. We headed to Oddwater, but then it was time to feed the sea otters. She wasn't too interested with them, mostly because the crowd was so large that she couldn't get too close.


I knew she used to always love the seals so we headed that way. For some reason they weren't doing their usual swim in a circle. That confused all of us and Adia quickly got bored. She wanted to see the sharks instead.




She loved walking through the shark tubes. She's been talking about sharks for days. She was soon telling me that one shark was the mommy shark and another was a daddy shark. There were baby sharks too. It was cute. We saw divers in one of the tubes and a VERY BIG shark in another. Adia called it a big daddy shark, but the volunteer let us know it's actually a female and the largest in the tank.


We walked along the path until we came to the "play area." Daddy's right, not sure if the dolphin, whale, seal, turtle and tortoise are more sculpture or actual things to play on. We did attempt some family pictures though.








It was then on to the touch pools. Adia was super excited for that. Last time we were there, she had a hard time reaching anything, but this time she could. She touched every thing there was to touch and wanted to touch even more. I was really proud of her.


I think she was pretty bummed that not everything was "touchable".






We did find some more things for her to touch though: SHARKS! She didn't believe us that they were sharks though because they were so small. She loved petting them and one actually kept coming back for her to pet it.




We also found Nemo.


And went back to the fish tank you could climb inside. Adia loves that thing.


We made a quick stop at the gift shop before leaving. Adia picked out the best $5 I think I've ever spent. She now has a pair of binoculars that she absolutely loves.




Everyone was getting hungry, especially Adia, so we headed to Sizzlers. Adia didn't eat very much, but the twins were in a great mood. Adia also used the potty several times. She also used it several times at the aquarium.






We said goodbye to Auntie Colie in the Walmart parking lot and then headed to the beach. I used to go to Seal Rock all the time as a kid, but it's changed a lot since the last time. The path was almost gone and it was hard to get the twins down to the beach. Adia had fun though and the twins put their feet in sand for the first time.










It was then time to head home. Adia kept asking to go home, but we had to stop at Gramma and Papa's house first. We packed up our stuff, fed the twins and left. Driving home took forever because of all the road construction too, but Adia slept through it, so did Daddy. It was a great trip, with terrific weather. I hope we can do it again soon.
