We've started doing our 2.5 mile walks again. Yesterday we went in the afternoon and it was sunny and warm. Today, it was the morning and the weather is changing. (We may actually get snow this weekend!) I used the blanket that Gamma made Adia for the first time today. It worked perfectly and Adia stayed toasty. She wasn't happy about it at first, but stayed awake the whole time.

She woke up early again today too. Mommy doesn't like 7am wake ups, but as long as she's happy, I'm good. She also leaked out of her diaper, again! I need a good nighttime diaper that doesn't leak out the front. She likes to sleep on her tummy and that's a problem. She was wet and so was I.

She ate scrambled eggs again, after making me think she wasn't interested. I made her two eggs and set some in front of her. She looked at me like I was crazy. I ended up eating my breakfast and most of hers. While I was washing dishes, she started to complain. I look back and she'd eaten all the eggs that were in front of her and wanted more. I had to scramble her another egg. She gobbled it up and even licked the egg crumbs off her fingers.

She took a short nap and woke up a little grumpy. We ended up going to the mall. She loves to walk around and check out the clothes. When we got home, Scott woke up. Adia was happy to see him. She stole some of my yarn today and they spent time playing with it.

Adia hung out with me while I made dinner. She nibbled cheese and pulled on my apron. I think we need to get her a little matching apron. She'd love it. We had taco salads for dinner. Adia chowed down on hamburger and beans. DiDi arrived just in time for dinner. I made a separate hamburger mix for Adia and DiDi because neither of them like spicy foods. Adia was so excited to see DiDi. She hasn't seen her in a few weeks. She just stared at her in shock at first.

After dinner, Scott got Adia's bath ready, but Adia just wanted to sit in DiDi's lap. We eventually got her in the tub, but the second she got out, she attacked DiDi again. She's definitely missed her. Now they're playing with toys and Adia's having a blast. She likes to show her all her new toys and skills.

Eggs!

Just a quick post because I'm so happy. Adia ate TWO scrambled eggs for breakfast today (and most of her eggo)! She's never been willing to try scrambled eggs before even though she used to eat hardboiled egg yolk. I was eating and she was studying the fork. Since everything always tastes better off Mommy's fork, I gave her a bite. She actually accepted it and didn't spit it out. Her eyes lit up and after swallowing, her mouth was open again and she was pointing at my plate. I fed her severl bites before placing pieces in front of her. She devoured them. I couldn't give her enough and she couldn't eat them fast enough. I had to scramble her another egg because she was pissed when we ran out. She ate that egg too and wanted more. I figured two eggs was enough so she finished her eggo instead.

I'm still in shock that she ate them. Maybe we're turning a corner in her eating. Maybe she's going to actually start liking food. Maybe she'll actually eat some veggies in the near future. She's definitely having a growth spurt right now. She seems lots taller than she was and she's been sleeping a lot.

Before going to bed on Monday night, Adia had fun climbing in and out of a shoe box. We have empty boxes all over our house because Adia loves playing with them so much. She puts toys in them, takes them back out, stacks boxes, puts boxes inside each other and has started climbing in them too.

Adia had another fun day with Mommy and Daddy on Tuesday. We went to lunch at the Mexican restaurant down the street. Adia ate her string cheese and crackers, but wasn't a fan of the chips or chicken. When we got home, Scott helped her climb the steps. You could see how proud she was of herself. I wish I could have gotten a picture of her putting her face against the slats. It was really funny since she was also sticking her tongue out.

Her nails were also getting long so it was a mani/pedi day. The polish on her toenails has already been worn off so I repainted them as well. After cutting her fingernails, I filed them down. Adia loved it. I also trimmed her toenails and filed them before painting. Adia took the nail file and tried to file her own nails. It was only a problem when she tried to file her toenails while they were still wet. After they were dry, she took off, nail file in hand. She walked around the living room, continuing to file her nails.

Scott got her to sleep last night and she woke up at 12, crying and writhing in pain. I thought she had to burp, but nothing would come out. She just kept writing and whimpering. After 10 minutes, I checked her diaper and she had pooped. As I expected, it wasn't a normal poop, but a liquid acid one. She had burned diaper area again. Scott and I are guessing she found something containing wheat on the floor and ate it. Her butt is still burned today. She hasn't enjoyed diaper changes, but we're aggressively treating it with a combination of anti fungal, desitin and rinsed out wipes. Hopefully it goes away soon.
