We played briefly, but she started to get fussy. I gave her a bottle and she fell asleep on the couch for a hour. While she was asleep I got a text that her new cousin was born at 7:47am weighing in at 7lbs 11oz. Hopefully they'll like each other when they eventually get to meet. She was happy when she woke up and wanted to play. The first thing she did was attack Eeyore again. I think she really likes him. She was also waving her crinkly book around and banging on the piano. Anything to make as much noise as possible.
After playing for awhile, I took her into the bathroom so I could take a shower. I set her in the bouncy seat. She was really happy, trying to grab the toy bar. I took my shower and when I got out, she was sitting all the way up, both hands on the toy bar. She had dropped one of the toys on the floor in front of her. In order to reach it, she was completely bent in half, straining. She couldn't quite reach it, but she was certainly going to try. Eventually she got bored with that and went on to try to pull the tag off the toy bar.

Once I was dressed, I took her out to the living room. She looked up and saw Scott. She grinned and lunged for him. She then spent some time playing with him. When she tired of him, we left her playing on the floor. She didn't last long before wanting to sit on the couch. I picked her up and set her between us, only to realize she wanted nothing to do with me, but everything to do with Scott and his laptop. He was playing a game and she wanted to play too. Everything was fine until she started pressing buttons. She actually pressed one that made his ship fire a missile. She smiled about it, but he didn't. Shortly thereafter she started to get fussy. She had another bottle and fell asleep for a hour. By then Scott had taken his shower and we were planning to head out. We had to slightly revise our plans though.

When she woke up, I changed her diaper and got her ready to go. I also wrapped myself in the Moby so I could use it at Costco. We headed out and Adia was being silly with Scott in the back seat the whole time. I put her in the wrap when we got there. I must have done a perfect wrap job because I couldn't even tell Adia was on the front of me. It felt so odd. Of course I could see her, but she felt weightless. When tied correctly, the moby rocks! We got plenty of funny looks again and Scott even said it looked a little odd, especially from the back. Adia was perfectly happy in it. She was kicking her feet the entire time and even started yelling. It was cute to see her so happy.
After Costco, we went back home. Adia started crying on the way back. It had been awhile since she last ate. I gave her a bottle and she fell asleep. I thought she was just taking a catnap, but I was wrong. She slept for 2 hours on me. Luckily we were both comfortable. I hate it when that happens and she's laying on my arm funny. My hand always seems to fall asleep and of course I can't move or reposition because it will wake her up. Scott and I got to play Halo while she slept. She woke up very happy. She gave me the biggest grin when she opened her eyes and saw me. Once she sat up and saw Scott, her grin got even wider. I think she's always surprised to see him.
We were able to take Scott's bike in to be fixed one she woke up. It's needed to go in for a couple weeks now, but it's been tough to get a time to do it and put it in the car. It doesn't totally fit. We have to remove the front wheel and push it partially over the back seat. Once it was in, Adia was giving it the eyebrows, like "Where did that come from?" We took it in and while Scott was doing the paperwork, Adia and I perused the kid bikes. When we walked under a ceiling fan, she looked directly up at it, with her eyes open as far as they would go and her mouth open too. Then the kid bikes caught her eye. She really liked a couple of the pink ones. They look like such tiny bikes, but so much bigger than her.
After dropping the bike off, we went to Red Robin. I was craving a salad and we know Adia likes to look at all the artwork in there. Our table was near another table where two twin baby girls were. They were a little bit older than Adia, but only a couple months older. Adia couldn't take her eyes off of them. It looked like she desperately wanted to play with them. I think she was also a little confused on why they got table food and she didn't. When our food arrived, I had avocado on my salad. She kept trying to grab my food so I gave her tiny piece. She gagged at first, but then managed to gum it and swallow. She looked at me like give me more. I gave her another piece, but she didn't have the same kind of luck with it. She started gagging and choking. She even puked up a bunch of mucus. It scared me half to death and prooved she's not ready for table foods. I had her on my lap the rest of the meal.

When we got home it was Adia's dinnertime. She had carrots and sweet potatoes. I tried the 2nd stage sweet potatoes and she was perfectly fine with them. She still didn't want the carrots though. She drank most of the water out of her sippy cup and then opened her mouth for some carrots. She ended up eating most of her carrots because she'd take bites between sips of water. It was really funny to watch. Then it was fluoride which she fought at first until she realized what it was. Then she easily took it.

Her bath went well too. She played with Scott on the counter before it and then chased her turtles and cups in the water. She was happy for a long time and then suddenly turned toward me and tried to pull herself out. I picked her up and wrapped her in her hooded towel. Then Scott took her, put her diaper on and dressed her while I made a bottle. She drank 5 oz and I really thought she would go to sleep, but after drinking it, her eyes popped open and she started smiling at me. She wanted to play. She played on the floor for a bit, but rolled over and tried to climb up Scott's leg. He tried to put her back into a sitting position, but she only wanted to stand. I suggested the jumperoo. She started happily jumping the second he put her in it.
It was a pretty good day. I hope it's a good night too. That is if I can ever get Adia to go to sleep. When she wakes up in the morning, she'll be 7 months old. I can't believe it! Only 5 months until her 1st birthday. When you get warned that they grow up so fast, you can't believe it, but it's definitely true.

Such a big girl now. Trying out the table foods. She'll be getting those in no time. It's really flying by, isn't it? So bittersweet, watching them grow so fast....
