After a rough beginning, Adia's night wasn't too bad. Scott's mom got her to sleep and Scott laid her down in the crib. She slept for a little over a hour before waking again. I tried rocking her to sleep, but it didn't work. I ended up bringing her out to the living room. She slept in my lap while I played Halo with Scott. I didn't want to risk laying her down again so we coslept. Only 5 minutes after we went to bed, Adia woke up screaming and wouldn't go back to sleep. Scott made her a bottle and I fell asleep feeding her. She woke me again around 3:30. I discovered I was sleeping on her bottle and Scott had just come to bed. I made her another bottle and she slept until 6:30.

I actually wasn't too tired when we got up. Adia went into the jumperoo and shortly thereafter I could hear her grunting. I was dreading the diaper change, but it wasn't too bad. We had breakfast afterwards. She ate sweet potatoes, but didn't eat too many. I got her dressed and set her on the floor with her toys. While I was putting on my shoes, I heard her make an odd noise and then started crying. I looked up to see pale orange puke on her bib. I took off her bib and picked her up, only to notice puke on her pants too. I stripped those off and put on another pair. Good thing my mom bought her 3 pairs of them. I set her back down to finish getting ready. I heard it again and looked over to see more puke on her bib and on the blanket. After cleaning both up, we headed out on our walk.

It was raining, again, and cold. Adia was fully bundled and wearing her new hat. I was going to put on the matching mittens, but she was using her hands to hold her chicken. I secured her rain cover and off we went. She really noticed the rain cover this time and started kicking it. Within minutes though she was asleep. She slept all the way and only woke briefy when a bus stopped next to us. The breaks squealed so loud, I jumped and so did she. She startled so much the stroller jumped, but went right back to sleep. She then slept all the way home and through ,e carrying her up the stairs. I got her, stroller and all, inside and she was still asleep. I took my shower with her still sleeping in the stroller. I could hear her babbling when I got out. She was happily playing with her chicken. She smiled when she saw me and reached out.

After a quick diaper change, Adia started fussing for a bottle. I got a bottle ready and we snuggled up on the couch. We both fell asleep for a hour. When we woke up, Scott was just getting up. Adia was smiling at me and somehow her smile got even bigger when she saw Scott. He changed her diaper and then brought her back to me. Adia and I played while he went for his run. When he came back Adia was playing on the floor while I tried to make lunch. It took me lots longer than it should have because I had to keep checking on her when she complained. Scott gave her a bottle and she dozed on the couch. When she woke up, she played on the floor while Scott and I played Halo.

It was soon time to take Scott to work. I went to change Adia's diaper before we left and the moment I unsnapped her onesie, I noticed a big problem. She had a massive blowout, in cloth, out of the cover. It was on her onesie, the outside of the cover, basically a total mess. Scott held onto her while I cleaned her up. I guess whatever made her puke also had consequences on the other end. Luckily the traffic wasn't bad and Scott got to work on time. Adia was great on the way there, but just seconds after Scott got out of the car, she was crying. When we got home and I took her out of the car, she had tears and snot running down her face. I gave her another bottle when we got in the house by laying her on the couch and propping her up. I have her the bottle and she held it while I made myself a quick snack. When I came back she was still holding it. She then dozed for a little while.

When she woke up she wanted to jump. I put her in the jumperoo and she went crazy. She was jumping and spinning so she could play with everything. I made dinner and then stripped her down to her diaper. She grabbed her spoon right away. Tonight she had sweet potatoes and 2nd foods pears. She didn't have any trouble with the pears so I'm thinking once she's finished the last two jars of sweet potatoes, we'll move onto 2nd foods. She still needs to try peas and green beans. She had a blast with her new sippy cup. I got some with detachable handles that will work on her other sippy cups. It made a ton of difference in her ability to bring the cup to her mouth and hold it there. She was using it really well until she tipped it on its side so she could chew on the handles.

On our way to the bathroom, Adia lunged for the counter. I had no idea what she was doing until I remembered I hadn't given her fluoride yet. When I picked up the bottle she smiled. She kept reaching for it. After I had it measured out and brought the syringe towards her mouth, she opened huge. She doesn't even open that big for food. She happily swallowed it. She talked to mirror baby before the bath. She had fun in the bath until I laid her down to wash her hair. She got upset, but then started grabbing my arm and smiling. I sat her back up and she played a little longer. Then she tried to use my arm to pull herself up and out of the tub. I had her wrapped in a towel, sitting in my lap until she pulled herself to standing and tried to pull herself into her bouncy seat. Since she wanted in it so bad I set her down. She started playing with the toys and trying to pull herself up. I was able to ring out the towel from the tub and throw her diaper in the pail.

Tonight is the first night she'll be in cloth at night too. She's wearing one of her new bumGenius pocket dipe. I hope I stuffed it enough. Most nights she doesn't even pee, but saves it for the morning. She wasn't happy about laying flat to get her diaper or pjs on. After getting her to the couch, she slowly drank 4oz before falling asleep. She didn't stay asleep long though. She was awake, but happy less than a hour later. I hadn't even tried to set her down yet. She wanted to play, but I made her another 2oz to get her back to sleep.

I'm hoping it's a good night. She didn't need teething tablets today, so I don't think her teeth are bothering her anymore. She does have a nasty cold though and is horribly congested.
