7 months!

Our morning started out normal besides Adia waking up at 8:30, staying awake for a hour and going back to sleep for half a hour. We played lots after she woke up. I changed her diaper and she really lived up to her Pumpkin Butt nickname. Her poop was orange! Then I took a shower. Adia was awesome while I was in there. Then we woke up Scott. Adia was so happy to see him. We played some more and then planned on picking up the house since Tanae was coming and then going for a walk. Scott had Adia on the couch when I stood up and started to walk out of the living room. In the process my foot caught on my laptop cord and I went flying. I landed HARD on my right elbow and forearm. I immediately started crying, which isn't typical of me at all. Something certainly didn't feel right. After a few minutes of laying on the floor, clutching my arm and crying, Scott helped me up. I sat in the bathroom while he took his shower so we could go to urgent care.

right before I fell

I soon noticed that I could barely move my arm and there was no way I could even hope to hold Adia. He got her ready to go while I kept ice on my elbow and wrist. We got to the car and he had to strap Adia in, then me. We were at urgent care for 2 hours. Adia did really well. All the nurses and doctors thought she was adorable. The doctor examined me and decided to take x-rays because I could barely bend at all. They took 4 excruciating x-rays. It was worse than childbirth. When we looked at the x-rays, there was a very slight fracture in my elbow. It was nearly impossible to see, but the bone wasn't smooth on that side and the fat pocket that's supposed to be in the elbow had been displaced. He guessed that was most likely because of blood pooling in the elbow from the breakage. The real clincher was my inability to move my arm. They put me in a splint and sling for the next week. By the time we left, Adia was asleep in Scott's arms.

She woke when we got back to the car. I helped Scott get her in the car seat, but he still had to buckle us both in. She was smiling at me the whole time and grabbing my sweater. I obviously couldn't hold her since I hurt myself. I just wish I could explain that too her. She looks so hurt when I don't just pick her up or take her from Scott. When we got home my mom was there with Tanae. Adia and Tanae were happy to see each other. They played on the floor together and even sat on the princess couch together.

After a little while Adia got hungry. My mom fed her and we were hoping she'd go to sleep, but she didn't. Tanae sat in Adia's high chair for dinner, but she didn't eat much. So we put Adia in it instead. She had sweet potatoes again and had fun with the sippy cup. Her bath was interesting. I couldn't do it so my mom did. Adia was happy but a little confused. After she was washed, Tanae wanted in too. They were in the bath together briefly, but Tanae always seems to scare Adia by either growling or standing.

I got comfy on the couch to feed Adia. She drank her bottle, but didn't fall asleep. I set her in the jumperoo and she went crazy. Tanae kept handing her toys but then taking them away. Adia seemed confused by it, but didn't complain.

I don't know how tonight's going to work. I know Adia's going to want to co sleep. Hopefully she'll just lay next to me and not expect to lay on me.

p.s. I typed all this only using my left hand.
