Adia slept with DiDi again last night after Adia woke up screaming in her crib. Adia woke up several times in the night even though I never heard her. I did hear here when she woke up at 7:30, right after Scott left for work. She was whining like crazy and nothing my mom did could make her happy. My mom eventually gave her a bottle and they both went back to sleep until 10! I got up around 9:30 because I didn't hear anything. They were cuddled up on Adia's floor together.

I heard them when Adia woke up. My mom giggled because Adia was all smiles and babbling. You always know when she's slept enough because she's so happy when she does wake up. My mom entertained her while I took a bath and then I watched Adia so my mom could shower. In between all that my mom did laundry and started the dishwasher. We also ate breakfast before leaving for urgent care.

We spent the next 3 hours in urgent care. I had to get my elbow checked again to make sure everything was healing properly and find out whether I could take the splint off. Adia did really well. We sat near the fish tank and she did watch the fish for a short while. Then it was back to people watching. There were a lot of people in there today, hence the 3 hour wait. Luckily they weren't there because they were sick, instead they were injured. Adia got really excited when another mom with her two kids came in. One was 3 months old and just as big, if not heavier than Adia. He reminding me of a little football player and was so adorable. Her other kid was a 5 1/2 year old girl. Adia LOVED her. The girl played peek a boo with Adia for 15 minutes before going back to sit with her mom. The grin on Adia's face was huge. Not long after that Adia got fussy because she needed a nap. My mom rocked her and she quickly fell asleep. She slept until the other baby started crying. Her eyes snapped open and she refused to go back to sleep. She wasn't cranky anymore though.

Not long after that we were called back to the exam room. Adia was looking around like "hey, I know this place." Shortly after that she got hungry, just like she did last Saturday. They took me for a x-ray while Adia ate. Adia finished the bottle while I was gone and was playing on the exam bed when I got back. I don't have to wear the splint anymore and the sling only has to be worn as needed. The best thing I can do to heal now is use my arm. Ha!

We picked Scott up after urgent care. Adia was so happy to see him. When he sat down next to her in the car she grabbed his hand and smiled at him. She started babbling away. My mom and I wanted to go to Target so we dropped Adia and Scott off at home. While we were gone Adia took a nap on Scott and played.

It was dinnertime when we got home. Scott tried to feed Adia turkey and sweet potatoes, but more of it got on her and in her. It was everywhere. In her hair, all over her face, on her legs and feet. It was seriously a disaster area. Since he helped her make such a mess, he also gave her a bath. She had fun with him in the bathtub and was her usual difficult self when it came to the diaper change.

He gave her a bottle after her bath, but she wasn't too interested. My mom and him played baby shuffle for a little while. She was in no mood to sleep and still isn't.

So glad your arm is better. I'm sure you're relieved to be able to use it again.
Isn't that funny how our babies respond to other kids? They're like "hey, it's other little people like me!"
