Ugh

Right before I went to bed last night, Adia woke up. I was able to rock and sing her back to sleep. Then she was awake again at 2 and refused to stay asleep in her crib. When I went in to pick her up though, she was playing with her mirror. She smiled huge at me and continued to smile when I changed her. It was very sweet, but I was so tired. I had only been asleep 3 hours. After a hour and a half of trying to get her back to sleep in her crib, I gave up. I let her stay in bed with me. She was still restless and woke up at 5. Eventually she kicked Scott out of bed and he went and slept on the couch.

She woke up with a smile this morning though. She was playing with my nightgown and being goofy. She smiled when I changed her diaper and clothes. Then she happily went into the jumperoo. She's not jumping as much in it as she used to because she's learned how to manipulate the toys better. Yesterday she was carefully spinning the rainbow wheel. Today she used both hands to turn the sun and try to grab the tiger. She got really frustrated that she couldn't get the tiger to pop up. She just isn't strong enough and doesn't know that you can press a button to make him pop up. She then turned herself around and was staring at the gecko. She'd use her thumb to spin him.

It seems that she's just discovered her hands. She'll hold one out, stare at it and then grab it with her other hand. It's almost as if she thinks it's a toy. She always has them deliberately clasped in front of her now. Only my little girl would find her feet before her hands.
