By then I was starving, so I put her in her high chair and made us both breakfast. She played with her toys while I ate. She wasn't really interested in eating, but I managed to get her to eat her sweet potatoes. She didn't want the carrots though and I certainly wasn't trying bananas. Then she started screaming again. I cleaned her up and made her a bottle. She hadn't had her normal nap since we didn't walk this morning. She wouldn't take the bottle, she didn't want to play, changing her diaper didn't help. No matter what I did, she screamed. She screamed for almost 30 minutes. That's when I touched her lower gums and could actually feel her tooth. It was coming through the gums. She wouldn't let me look at it, but I could certainly feel it. I dosed her with Tylenol and teething tablets. Within minutes she had calmed. She drank two ounces and fell asleep.

She woke up staring at Scott. She was disoriented, but happy to see him. They soon started playing on the floor. Then she started to get fussy. It was getting near noon and we assumed she wanted her noon nap on dad. Nope, she wasn't interested in sleeping. We eventually got her to smile and be happy again, but it took a lot of effort. She never did nap, but she laughed when I changed her diaper and was all smiles while she played on the floor. She really likes that she can push the button on her toy cd player. It makes a funny noise when she does it and her face lights up. Her other favorite thing to do is have us fill a metal mixing bowl with hard plastic toys so she can shake the bowl or move the toys. It makes the loudest noise, which she also loves. Sometimes it works as a drum too.
Scott, Adia and I walked and got the mail. She was being silly. Every time I'd try to take her picture, she'd turn away. The second after I took it, and before the camera was ready to take another, she'd turn back and smile. She had to be doing it on purpose. It was nice and sunny out and we wanted to play with Adia in the grass, but it was still wet from this morning. We went back in and she started to rub her eyes. I fed her and she fell asleep for half a hour. When she woke up, it was all about playtime. We'd tried a new toy on her. It's one of those little fisher price pianos. I think she may have a new favorite toy. It's technically Tanae's when she's here, but I'm sure she wouldn't mind Adia playing with it.

Scott laughing at me because Adia kept turning away, but I finally got one!
Then it was time to take Scott to work. She was great on the way there, but she screamed the entire way back. Not only was that stressful, but traffic was awful. It took us twice as long to get home. The second we got home, I changed her diaper and found out that she had pooped a little bit. No wonder she was so upset. I changed her, took of her onesie and fed her a bottle. She slept for over a hour and would have gone longer, but I moved slightly. My whole arm and side was soaking wet with sweat and so was she. I changed her again once she woke up and noticed she was looking a little sore. I'm guessing it was from the poop. I'll have to coat her in cream tonight before bed.
After the diaper change, she was all about playing. She played with her piano and then it was all about the remote. I don't think she liked the news that was on and wanted to change the channel. Of course her remote doesn't change channels, but she was trying hard.

It was then dinnertime. She ate 1/3 jar of sweet potatoes and 1/4 jar of carrots. I also mixed a couple teaspoons bananas with oatmeal. She got a couple bites down, but wasn't impressed. She was more interested in her sippy cup. She has a crush on the little mermaid. I swear, she's going to name her first daughter Ariel. She just stares and stares at her, then reaches and tries to grab the cup. She didn't even get grumpy while I was washing our plates off and putting everything in the dishwasher. She just sat and played.

Bath time wasn't too bad either. She sat and played with the cups briefly, but then tried to get out. She needed her hair washed so getting out wasn't an option. I laid her back and she smiled. I easily washed her hair and then the rest of her. The whole time she was happily grabbing her feet and sucking her toes. She had fun with the mirror baby when we got out. She also laughed when she got lotioned, but did not want me snapping up her pjs. She kept grabbing my arms and sucking them. Soon she'll be biting them.

After her bath, she snuggled up against me, drank her bottle and fell asleep. I gave her Tylenol before her bottle, just in case. I can't really tell if her gums are bothering her too much, but I didn't want to risk her waking up in pain.

YAY teeth!! It's hard watching them go through the process of cutting teeth, isn't it? And a relief when they finally come through. What a big girl Adia is!
cute dipes on your princess! We didn't get any rest last night, either. Wish I could come up there and bring you a cocktail - that's my solution to everything :).
