another tooth!

After another night of cosleeping and little sleep, Adia was up at 5:30. I definitely don't do 5:30. I got her to play in the jumperoo and I tried to sleep on the couch. I didn't have much luck, but at least I didn't have to entertain her. She played for a long time before filling her diaper. It wasn't too bad of a diaper change and into cloth she went. I was too tired to walk so I took a bath instead. Adia had fun in her bouncy chair. At first she would just pull the toys off the toy bar, but I guess that got boring because she soon discovered she could removed the whole toy bar. She pulled it off and started waving it around. She looked very proud of herself.

She was getting tired and rubbing her eyes. I got her comfy on the couch and handed her a bottle. She grabbed it from me and stuck it in her mouth. She then held it until she fell asleep. She's been doing that more and more lately. She sometimes has problems tipping it far enough back, but she's certainly gotten much better at it. She slept for a hour and a half, but of course woke up shortly after Scott and I started playing Halo. We sidetracked her with her toys and the jumperoo so we could continue playing, but that never lasts. I ended up making dinner while Scott played with her. She was so happy to have her daddy's undivided attention. While I was in the kitchen I could hear her grunting. I knew exactly what she was up too. The second I finished dinner, so did she. Scott went to change her and of course it was a major blow out. It stayed contained inside the cover, but the inside of her cherry cover was pretty gross. We cleaned her up, with her trying to get her hands in it the entire time. After get cleaned, we ate and played with her at the same time. She looked like she really wanted what we were eating.

After lunch, Scott took his shower and Adia and I played. While playing, she bit me and I felt another tooth coming in. Her left bottom tooth is coming in now too. No wonder she's been cranky. Next thing we know it will be her top two also. I guess she wants to make up for lost time. So not only are her gums bothering her, but she has snot pouring down her face constantly. When she sleeps, she snores and when he nose is running, she tried to wipe the snot away with her arm or anything nearby. She also snotted both Scott and me. I feel so bad for her because there's nothing I can do. She's got hurting gums, a runny nose and sneezing. Hopefully it will all end soon so she can get some relief.

We took Scott to work and Adia fell asleep on the way there. She woke back up when I unhooked her car seat. She was awake when I brought her into the house and changed her diaper. I gave her a bottle and she fell asleep next to me on the couch, snoring like crazy. She was cranky when she first woke up, but as soon as she saw her toys, she wanted to play. She played by herself for almost a hour while I put pictures in her baby book. At one point the was trying to wiggle herself over to Scott's laptop. The next time I looked up, she was going for the power cord, about to put it in her mouth. For a baby that's not very mobile, she finds a way to get around. She's been going from sitting to a roll that looks like it should end in a crawl, but she hasn't figured that part out yet. Give her a few days and I'm sure she'll have it. She gets so frustrated that she can't move around.

Adia had sweet potatoes for dinner. I tried oatmeal too, but she didn't want any. She did eat 1/2 jar of sweet potatoes though. When I showed her her sippy cup she got excited. She grabbed it and kept putting the spout in her mouth. She would be able to do it herself except she doesn't tip it up enough. She did drink a lot of the water. She only got upset when I tried to wipe her face off. She had sweet potatoes, oatmeal and snot smeared everywhere. She took her fluoride like a pro. She first fought the syringe, thinking it was probably Tylenol, but once she tasted it, she drank it easily.

She talked to mirror baby when we got into the bathroom. She also had fun in the bath. She sat up the whole time. At first she banged two of her cups together. She'd dunk them in the water and then smack them together. In the process she would spray water everywhere. The first time startled her, but after that she was having a blast. Then she saw her turtles sitting on the ledge. She kept looking at them and then at me. I put them in the tub and she watched them with her mouth hanging open. Once she realized they wouldn't bite, she started grabbing at them. It was definitely one of the longest baths she's had in weeks. She reached for me when she wanted out. I dressed her and set her on the floor with her toys so I could make her a bottle. She was happily playing, but lunged for me when I walked by.

She didn't act like her teeth were bothering her tonight so I didn't give her anything. She cuddled up to drink her bottle, but wouldn't stop grabbing her feet. She was kicking and grabbing. I thought she would never settle down enough to sleep, but after a few minutes she did. I'm once again hoping for a good night.

I looove the video. She's just like a little girl hangin' out in the tub. I wish Lincoln would sit like that in the tub :( Soon - Very soon. Adia is sooo cute!
