Oatmeal must be the trick. She slept 7 hours before waking me up. I heard her usual complaining noises coming from her room, so I got up, made a bottle and then went in. Big mistake. She wasn't really awake. She had just rolled from back to tummy and was stuck. She had also rotated herself around 180 degrees. She's really become a little mover. The funniest thing though was her blanket was still on her lower half. I have no idea how she pulled that one off. I rolled her back to her back and she went right back to sleep. When she woke up a hour and a half later, she was back on her tummy, but totally awake. She was also rotated sideways. I fed her then and she went back to sleep for quite awhile in bed with me. That meant Scott went back out to the couch though.
She woke me up this morning by puking. She would have probably slept a lot longer if she hadn't had that burp in her. Scott took her after that and she burped huge for him. Then he got her changed and dressed. She started sputtering and trying to jump on our tummies. We figured she wanted to go in the jumperoo. She did.
After lots of jumping came breakfast. She ate a little bit of oatmeal, but got sidetracked by Scott's family. She got really shy and smiley, but lost interest in eating. It was then time for our walk. Adia talked to me the entire time. She let me come home and take a shower before she started crying for a bottle and nap. She chugged 3oz before passing out in my arms. She woke up with a smile and we ran a few errands. She was a sweetheart the entire time.
That's when we got a phone call from my cousin. She was nearby and wanted to know if we could meet up. We drove to Corvallis to meet her and we chatted for a little bit. Since we were already that close to Portland, we decided to drive the rest of the way and visit some of Scott's family. Adia slept most of the drive. She was still in a fairly good mood once she woke up and was babbling away to Scott. When we were almost to his aunt's house, Adia left a big present in her pants. She started saying, "DADADA" and then pulling at her pants. Luckily, grandmas change icky diapers rather happily.
Adia wasn't so sure what to make of all the new people. She wasn't too smiley and she certainly wasn't babbling. She just gets too shy. It was already kind of late so we went out to dinner. Adia sat in a high chair again. She wanted desperately to chew on the corner of the table. She ate a little bit of oatmeal, but it was already after 7 so she was getting a little cranky. She ended up drinking 5oz instead and then getting goofy. We were so lucky that she didn't start screaming.
After dinner we stopped by to see Scott's grandma. She was very happy to see Adia and Adia was happy to see her. She was all smiles and not long after she started babbling away. Her great uncle had even made her a teddy bear. Her face lit up when she saw it. She couldn't stop smiling at it. She doesn't normally have that reaction to toys so it was neat to see.
It was really starting to get late though so we headed out. Adia fell asleep really quickly and slept all the way home. She only woke up when I was trying to get her out of her overalls. They're not exactly the most comfortable thing to sleep in. I couldn't get her to go back to sleep so Scott took over the job. She had a really big burp that I just couldn't get out. I hate when that happens. She will hardly ever burp for me unless I'm carrying her around. She finally fell back asleep around 11:30. I'm really hoping for a good night because I'm exhausted.
