Tuesday - Scott and I had to honestly talk about it to remember what we did. Apparently I'm not the only one losing days. We didn't do a whole lot, just drove to the mall and walked around. Adia wanted to play in the play area, but there were just too many big kids. She would have been trampled. We did check out the pet store though. Adia was in love with the dachshunds, kittens and especially the guinea pigs. She's always so gentle with them. She slept pretty well that night too.
Wednesday was our shopping day since Scott got paid. Adia and I went to Costco, the grocery store and Walmart. While in Costco, she started saying "Hiya!" to people we passed. It was so funny, especially when they'd respond. Then she'd wave and say, "bye bye." She's obviously mastered those. She was good in the grocery store too, but only if she was sitting next to the bananas. She has a thing for bananas. Walmart was another story though. She was getting hungry and tired and let me know it. I had to make it a fast trip and she gobbled a snack when we got home. She also demonstrated how she can climb on the couch. She's getting really good at climbing. She stood on top of her closed potty chair in the bathroom and tried to climb over the baby gate. When she didn't have luck there, she just went after anything she could reach on the counter.

Chillin' before bed
So far, Thursday's been pretty ok. We're dealing with teething though. I discovered on Wednesday that Adia's getting her bottom right molar. She complains about it periodically and luckily the Tylenol and teething tablets have been working. The weather was nice today so we spent quite a bit of time outside. Adia's been walking more on her own and is getting more stable on her feet. We spent time on the swing and Adia went down the slide all by herself.

After Scott woke up, we had to head to the dentist office to pick up some medication. He's getting his wisdom teeth removed on Monday. Adia was a goofball in the waiting room. They have a tub of toys and she only wanted the brochure at the bottom. She was a perfect angel the whole time until the very end because she just wanted to leave. She did keep asking, "What's that?" and "What ya doin?" She's always so curious. We made a quick stop at Blockbuster before heading home. Adia ran all over the place. She loves Blockbuster. One of the employees was walking around with keys and Adia tried chasing after him, yelling "da keyz." I had no idea she could say that.
We came home and Adia was starving. I swear she's always starving. She ate a grilled cheese sandwich, hamburger and some peaches before her bath. She was really happy and silly in her bath. Scott kept trying to get a spoon to stick on her nose, but I couldn't get a picture of it. We decided a spoon behind the ear would have to suffice. That was hard enough to get. After her bath, Scott helped me make some Mother's Day presents. It was definitely a two person job, but Adia at least cooperated.

Adia's now sleeping. Naps and bedtime have been getting easier and easier. I'm not dreading them as much anymore. Around 11 every morning, Adia starts getting really cranky. We head to her room, I put on her music and I read her a couple books or the same book several times. I then tell her it's "nigh nigh" and we rock in the chair. She's stopped screaming about it, she just relaxes and within a few minutes, she's asleep. Sometimes she wakes up a little when I lay her down, but I just rub her back or hold her hand and she goes right back to sleep. Bedtime is similar too. Just before 8pm we head to her room after asking her if it's "nigh nigh''. She gets to pick some books, or lately, just two in particular and we read them until 8pm. Once again, she just relaxes in my arms and goes to sleep. She's been sleeping in her bed for most of the night too. I can't believe how easy it was to get rid of the bottles.
Eating has also been going amazingly well. She ate 2 pieces of french toast for breakfast the other morning. She loves grilled cheese. She's even been eating the rice mac and cheese and the special hot dogs. Today she ate 2 hot dogs, 1/2 cup mac and cheese and a pear fruit cup. That was after a pretty good breakfast and then she also had two snacks and a big dinner. She's gotten so much taller lately too. The gluten free diet has done wonders for her. She's getting good eating with a spoon and fork and only wants to eat off a plate. She's been really good about not throwing her plate too.

And a few more cute pictures. There's only one cartoon that Adia's remotely interested in. it's called Super Why. She watches it every morning. She'll even cut breakfast short if she hears it come on.

watching it with Daddy, eggo in hand

and with Mommy when it was time for Daddy to sleep
