Wowwee!

A lot can happen in 3 days. Adia's been enjoying her redecorated room. She loves to play in her tunnel and look through books. She's also been sleeping really well, except for Saturday night. Every night she screams and fights less before bed. Tonight, she didn't fight at all. I was in shock. I was waiting for her to tense up, but she never did. She even held her sippy and drank a little milk. She's slowly making progress on that front. It only took 10 minutes tonight.

Adia's new place to hang out

Saturday was a different story though. DiDi came for a visit. Adia was happy to see her and got in lots of playtime. It was a warm, muggy day so we spent some time outside. Adia kept running free in the grass, but would get tangled in her sandal. I gave up on the shoes after awhile and she got to run barefoot. She always loves that. She showed DiDi how she can walk up the steps. When it came time for bed, Adia went down easily at first, but was up less than 30 minutes later. She screamed and screamed and screamed for the next 2 hours. DiDi finally got her to sleep because her screaming was driving me up the wall. She woke up again around 1:30 and was awake for over a hour, screaming and arching her back. She screamed for me, but once she had me, she just tried to get away. DiDi was the savior again and got her back to sleep. I just wish she had slept a little longer. We were all exhausted the next morning. We're guessing she had a tummy ache since she hadn't pooped at all on Saturday, very unlike her.

We had a fun time on Sunday, despite being tired. We went to Target and Adia complained until she got a new pair of shoes. DiDi also bought her a toy vacuum cleaner. She's still a little confused by it. She hasn't figured out the whole pushing thing. She just likes to carry it and turn the wheels so it sings. Adia started to get cranky because it was past her nighttime and she was no doubt hungry. We headed to Denny's since we know there's something she can eat. She got excited when we walked in the door. She knows where the food comes from. I ordered her a bunless cheeseburger and grapes. She ate the whole cheeseburger, some of the grapes and a cracker. I was shocked since the cheeseburger wasn't small at all. She fell asleep in the car on the way back to the house. I was able to move her to her bed without her waking up. She didn't sleep too long, but was obviously still sleeping. I got her to fall asleep on my chest and she slept for another hour and a half.

I figured she wouldn't be too hungry around dinnertime, but I was wrong. I made her grilled cheese. She hasn't had grilled cheese since before she went gluten free. She loved it. She 1/2 a sandwich and a bunch of peaches and pears. Then it was bath time and soon bed. She screamed for a little but, but it wasn't as bad as the night before. She was asleep before 8:15. She slept until 6:30 this morning! I was in shock. She didn't wake up or ever come into bed with me. At 6:30 I heard her get up and walk into the bedroom. We snuggled for a little bit before getting up. She was so cute and I got lots of kisses.

Adia wouldn't eat breakfast this morning though. She acted like she was hungry, but didn't want to eat anything. She just started chucking it on the ground. I was tired and not happy. I cleaned everything up and set her on the floor. Soon she was bugging me for food again. This time I gave her Puffins. She ate them, but was super cranky. She fought a nap and then only slept for a hour. I had hoped for a nap too, but it didn't happen. Scott had to watch her so I could at least take a shower. I made grilled cheese for lunch and Adia ate 3/4 of one. I was amazed since she was also gobbling peaches. We then headed to pick up my new glasses and contacts. I hate being so blind and my contacts have really been bothering me lately.

She wasn't happy to be back at the eye doctors, but at least it was a short visit. My contacts felt so wonderful and I could actually see with my glasses. It was wonderful. Adia just started at me in my new frames. We stopped at the pet store again, but the big puppies scared her. Then it was a quick stop to pick up Adia's bread and eggos. When we got home Adia acted hungry again. She ate some crackers and shared some ice cream. Not long after Gampa showed up. She looked shocked to see him and quickly opened up to him being here. We then headed to dinner.

We ate at Outback. Adia loves her hamburgers and tonight was no exception. I brought a fruit cup too and she gobbled most of the peaches. She's getting pretty good at using a fork. I just wish she'd stop wielding it like a weapon half the time. I'm waiting to get stabbed. It took awhile to get the bill back so Adia and I walked around outside. It was already past 7 and she wanted her bath. She loved playing on the railing and dancing to the music.

Adia was definitely ready for her bath. She played a game of chase when it was time for pjs. She didn't want Scott dressing her, only me. After she was dressed, I asked her if it was "nigh nigh" and she headed for her bedroom. She picked out a couple books and climbed into my lap. We read them a few times before I told her it was time to sleep. She didn't scream, she didn't fight, she just laid back, held the sippy and drank a little bit. I was amazed. We rocked for almost 10 minutes before she was asleep. She didn't even stir when I laid her in bed. I wonder if we'll have another night like last night. 10 straight hours would be awesome.
