At around 7:40, I get her ready to go and tell Scott it's time to leave. He tries to stand up, but barely caught himself before falling face first on the floor. I get him back on the couch and grab his shoes. I dressed him and while I picked up Adia, he attempted to stand back up. He made it to a low crouch before landing back on the couch. There was no way he was going to make it without help. I was trying to figure out how I'm going to get a 1 year old and a full grown man down the stairs and to the car by myself. Luckily, Adia was being very cooperative and had a good grip on me. This whole time, Scott's laughing a little because he can't focus on anything and keeps telling me that he see three of me and three of Adia. Now we have some idea why he has never and will never do drugs.
We managed to get to the car without incident. I got Adia strapped in. She was in a great mood and Scott's woozy in the front. We don't have very far to drive, but getting him into the dentist office proved interesting too. The dental assistant later told me that I could have called the office and had them bring down a wheel chair. That would have been nice. I got him in the elevator and up to the waiting room. The receptionists saw him and knew exactly who he was and why he was there. He sat down and Adia sprinted to the toy bucket. She picked out one toy after another.
Scott didn't want us to leave him so we followed him back when it was time. I had no idea how Adia was going to do, but she seemed intrigued. She watched the novocaine injections, whispering to me during them. She was great for the whole hour we were back there. She "oohed" and "aahed" and when she started to get restless, she just stared out the window at a couple of ducks.
He was still totally out of it when they wheeled him back to the car for me. I had to stop at Safeway to get his prescriptions filled so I left him in the car and took Adia with me. We dropped them off, did some shopping and then picked them up. Scott made it upstairs and inside on his own when we got home. I brought Adia and the groceries in, but Adia soon had a total meltdown. It was getting close to 11 and she knew it. She fell asleep easily and then I had to go in and big Scott. I made him take his amoxicillin and percocet, despite his complaining. He said he was still numb, but I had orders from the dentist to get some percocet in him long before the novocaine wore off. I gave him some ice and he went back to sleep.
About a hour later he came stumbling into the living room, headed to the bathroom. He still wasn't sure on his feet. I walk into the bathroom to see him drooling blood into the sink, a lot of blood. Thank God Adia was still asleep because what he did next scared me half to death. He had been shaking since we got home, but in the bathroom he convulsed a little before passing out. I caught him enough so he didn't hit his head on anything, like the toilet. After a couple minutes, which felt like hours, he got back up. It's not the first time this has happened. Actually, the first time I witnessed it was right before he had a wisdom tooth removed several years ago. I brought him back to the couch, where he stayed the rest of the day.
Adia woke up soon after and we ate lunch. She was worried about Scott since he wasn't his usual self. I managed to keep her mostly occupied, but the strawberries she had a lunch backfired. I stripped her after lunch because she was covered in mac and cheese and noticed eczema on her legs, that wasn't there earlier. It's now spread all over her back and her diaper area is covered. It's probably the worst there. So no more strawberries. I guess it makes sense. No citrus, no strawberries. Adia ran around in a diaper for the rest of the day. It was so hot in the house, clothes didn't make sense for her and she wasn't trying to take her diaper off either.

Around 3, Adia and I went to get the mail. She was really happy to be outside, but I was worried to leave Scott alone. The novocaine and sedatives were mostly out of his system so he was starting to make more sense, but he still wasn't fully there. Adia loved being outside. She ran all over and discovered she can put pine cones and rocks in her new tote. She also decided to eat moss.

eczema outbreak
We slowly made our way to the mailbox. I've never noticed how many flowers there are in the short distance, but Adia had to smell and touch every one. Adia noticed a dad and his son at the mailbox. The son had a basketball. Adia yelled "ball!" and tried to leave with them. I know how I rate. We slowly made it back to the house and Scott was half asleep when we got back in.

It wasn't long before it was dinner. Adia was starving. She ate 1/2 a cup of mac and cheese, a hamburger and 1/2 a pear fruit cup. She was super silly and happy too. I then gave her a bath, which didn't last long. It was a wrestle to get her dressed, but then we had tons of fun. I chased her around the living room with a funny hat on my head. She was giggling like crazy. When that game was up, I said, "Nigh nigh A?" and she looked at me and repeated what I said. She wasn't tired, but she's been big into repeating me lately. She repeated "rain coat" in Target and said something else like that today. It's a little nerve racking.
I asked her if she loved DiDi and she yelled DiDi while running to the door. She looked upset when DiDi didn't appear so I asked her if she wanted to call DiDi. She came running back, but wouldn't actually say anything when we got DiDi on the phone. She eventually babbled something and said hi, but I think she really wanted to listen to her voice. She kept licking the phone and hugging it too.
It was soon bed time. We read several books tonight before Adia wanted me to close them. We had our nightly chat and she started to fall asleep. She would have fallen asleep pretty quickly, but a dog kept barking. Every time she heard it bark, her eyes would pop open and she'd smile. I told her it was time to sleep and she could dream about her puppy. She smiled and pointed at the kitty on her wall. I guess she wants a cat instead. She was soon asleep though.
Scott's mostly back to normal now. He's dizzy from the percocet, but he's hardly bleeding anymore. He says he can't remember anything that happened today. He remembers the shots, but everything after that is a blank. He didn't know he had pain killers or antibiotics. He didn't know he passed out and nearly hit his head. He didn't even know we stopped at Safeway.
