She didn't want to eat much for breakfast either. She had maybe 1/2 an eggo and wasn't interested in anything else. Her morning bath made her feel a little better. It cooled her off because between her low fever and the house heating up, we were both overheating. We played a little bit before she took her nap.

When she woke up from her nap, she was horribly cranky. At first I thought it was because she woke up too early, but she started tugging her ear again. I took her temp and it was 99. I gave her more Tylenol and once it kicked in, she was willing to eat lunch. She ate quite a bit, but I decided to call the doctor's office in case she had an ear infection. Adia snuggled in my lap until it was time to leave. She was still acting lethargic and didn't want to play. Of course, the second we got ready to go, she started to perk up. She was talking and laughing in the car and walked into doctor's office with me. She wasn't running a temperature when we got there, but she was pissed to get weighed. When I set her on the scale, she started screaming like she was getting shots. She now weighs about 19 lbs 8oz, but that was with a diaper and lots of squirming. She wanted to play with all the toys, magazines and books and when she notice the cabinet under the sink had handles, she really got excited. She walked over there and started tugging on the handles. Nothing happened at first and I figured they were locked. Nope! She pulled one side open and it startled her so bad that it closed it. She looked at me, mouth opened in surprise and tried opening it again. When it opened again, it startled her again and pushed it closed. She then noticed she was wearing only a diaper and started playing with the tabs. She knows how to take her diaper off. She would peel off one tab, smile at me and when I told her to put her diaper back on, she'd casually stick it back on. This game went on for several minutes until the doctor came in.
Adia came running back to me when her doctor came into the room. Her doctor asked what had been going on and I told her that every time the Tylenol wore off, she'd grab her ear and say owwie. Her doctor was amazed that she could communicate so well. Yep, Adia communicates very very well. Occasionally in full sentences and when you ask her something, she almost always responds. It's rather scary. She checked both ears and she said they look perfectly fine. When she tried to check Adia's mouth, Adia wouldn't open her mouth. I asked Adia to show us her teeth and she did, but wouldn't open. Then I asked for her tongue and she stuck it out. Her doctor looked at us in shock. Yes, Adia knows quite a few body parts, but half the time she's too stubborn to actually show that she knows them. Her doctor told me that everything looked fine and just give her lots of TLC and keep dosing her with Tylenol until she feels better. If she still acts like her ear is bothering her in a few days, come back because it may be a visible infection by then. Adia didn't mind the whole ordeal because she got a sticker out of it.
We got home and Adia started playing normally. Scott got up and she got excited. She ate a whole banana and then we headed outside to get the mail. Scott came too. Adia was happy to be outside. We brought her ball to play some soccer, but wouldn't show off her kicking ability while I was filming. She's actually pretty good at controlling the ball when she doesn't get sidetracked. We eventually got tired of keeping her out of the wood chips and rocks so we went inside.

I entered Adia in the Parent's Magazine Cover Model Contest. Please vote for her:
