Adia was super lucky on Saturday and had both grandmas for a bit. We went to Costco and then out to lunch. Adia was pretty funny at lunch. We had mexican food and Adia knew exactly what she wanted. She kept saying, "Chicken please." She did a pretty good job eating her rice with a spoon too and devoured the chicken. Then it was time for ice cream. It helps that DiDi's favorite restaurant and the ice cream place are in the same mall. Adia picked chocolate ice cream with M&Ms.

We made a stop at Old Navy too. Adia and I got some cute new clothes. I now have a very comfy dress that I can't wait to wear when the weather warms up. We went home afterward and Gramma had to say goodbye. DiDi was spending the night though. Adia was sad to see Gramma go, but relieved when she realized DiDi wasn't leaving too.

Adia's been hilarious. She's started making the funniest face and we have no idea where she learned it. It makes us laugh so hard.

Adia didn't want to take a bath Sunday night and just wanted to go to bed. She'd had a long day with no nap and was thoroughly worn out. I took her into the bathroom to give her a sink bath because she was covered in mint chip ice cream. She loves sink baths and we spend most of our time making faces in the mirror. After getting cleaned off, we climbed into her bed and she fell asleep while I reading to her.

DiDi left Monday afternoon. We were all sad to see her go since she'll be visiting Uncle Paul and his family and Adia's great grandparents (DiDi's parents) in Colorado. I think Adia took DiDi leaving a little easier because DiDi left the guinea pig with us. Adia takes it as a sign that DiDi will be back soon. Adia also really loves the piggie. She's constantly in front of the cage, talking to her and asking my to hold piggie. Luckily, piggie likes me and is good with Adia too. I actually heard the piggie squeak today. She's normally a very quiet guinea pig.

As you can see from the pictures, they like each other, but also that Adia has a new head wound. When we were coming inside on Saturday, Adia took a spill. She was super tired, but she refused to be carried. She normally climbed up the steps and then waits for me at the bottom of the stairs. We do it all the time without incident, but this time, she made it up the steps and wiped out on the flat sidewalk. She hit hard too, head first. She started screaming and I went running. I felt so bad for her and she cried for quite a long time. Normally she just brushes herself off and gets back up after a kiss to make it better. That didn't work this time. She has a couple nice big scrapes on her forehead and a big big bruise. We were able to ice it, but not for very long. It's slowly healing and luckily, we weren't planning on getting any professional pictures done until her eye is back to normal anyway. She does like to look in the mirror at her "owwie".
