Her first stop was the shelf in front of the window. It's full of VHS on the stop and various things in cubes on the bottom. She tried to pull out one of the cubes, even had it by the handle, but she's just not quite strong enough. Lucky us. She then noticed all the tapes. She was soon sitting on her knees, touching the movies, but she never tried to pull them down. Give her a few days and I'm sure that will change.

She grew bored with that and started to crawl back to the center. She was sidetracked by my shoe. It's been sitting in our living room for weeks, waiting to be taken to Goodwill. I don't think that's going to happen now. It's quickly become a new favorite toy. She'd chew on the strap for a bit, then shake it around. I was worried she'd hit herself in the face, but she didn't.

When that grew boring, she tried to head out to the kitchen. That wasn't going to cut it. Yesterday she smacked her head when trying to do that so I stuck the giant Eeyore in the way. She got pissy for a moment before changing her mind and heading back. She played with her toys and when she got grumpy, I tried getting her to nap. I was only slightly successful and she napped for only 30 minutes or so. She woke up happy and re-energized. She once again headed in the direction of the kitchen, but was sidetracked by the heater. She made a b-line right for it and started running her finger up and down on it. She played with the heater and the glass float next to it for the next hour. She loved the noises she could make.

Next was the cube next to the heater. It's filled with all sorts of baby things, just to be attacked by a baby. She promptly pulled everything out of it, including a hat she hasn't worn in ages, a book I forgot we had and a card. I put the hat on her head and she never even noticed. She's definitely not your average baby. She seems to love hats. She had her heart set on the card. She chewed on it and ripped it in two. She was thoroughly enjoying it, but I had to take it away when she started biting off chunks. I really didn't want her to choke. When I took it from her, I noticed it was my first Mother's Day card from her. How perfectly fitting!

Showing her teeth!
She then brought me the book and we read it. She really enjoyed that too. She was smacking the pages and getting excited. After finishing the book, she took off again towards the jumperoo. She was hitting the side of it and chewing on the base. I put her in it and the bouncing began. That sidetracked her for at least 30 minutes and let me a get couple things done. It never lasts though. She got cranky again so I attempted another nap. She slept for almost a hour, but woke up just before Scott got home.
She looked confused to see him. I finished making dinner, but she kept crying for me. Adia was starving when it was time to eat. She had her usual yogurt and graham crackers, but I also fed her some of my sweet potatoes. She wouldn't eat the carrots, roast beef or cheese that I offered. She mostly just gorged herself on sweet potatoes and yogurt. For dessert I shared a little chocolate pudding. Just what she needs!
Bath time was short and sweet. When Scott took off her diaper, he noticed she'd pooped. That's never fun, but he cleaned her off before putting her in the tub with me. She wasn't really into playing, but I did wash her hair. Scott took her and dressed her while she tried to crawl away. Then it was back to exploring the living room. Her first move was directly for Scott's cell phone, then his magazine and lastly the Blockbuster envelope he left on the bench. She's really giving him a run for his money.
She's starting to get cranky again, but refuses to take the bottle. She's obviously tired, but wants to explore her new found ability instead. As for the wounded soldier title. It's because when she gets kind of tired, she drags one leg behind her. It's a rather funny sight.
