Test results are crap!

The nurse called with Adia's test results today. The allergy and celiac tests were both negative. I wasn't surprised with the celiac test because it has a very high false negative rate, but I was amazed by the allergy testing. I thought for sure it would be positive for wheat, at least a little bit. So I did the stupid thing after receiving the test results, I gave her a handful of cheerios. They're mostly oats, but do contain wheat protein. Within minutes Adia had a liquid poop. It was grainy and sticky, but that wasn't the worst part. Every little place it touched became flaming red. Adia screamed as loud as she had while getting her blood drawn. After I had her cleaned off she even made a break for it. I let her run around diaperless for a few minutes. I eventually had to hold her down in order to thoroughly desitin and put on a new diaper. She sighed in relief once the desitin hit her skin.

We made a trip to the store and when we came back, Adia was super cranky and didn't want Scott, only me. I managed to make dinner, with Scott's help and then I got her to take a short nap. She was still cranky when she woke up and refused to eat anything for dinner. She may have had one bite of her bread and a bite of cheese, but that was it. She's back to acting like she was before we switched off gluten. I had to hold her while I ate and then she went to take her bath. She fell just before getting in the tub. She was crying like crazy, but I calmed her down after Scott had tried. I brought her back to the tub, still whimpering. After I took off her diaper, I lowered her into the tub. When her feet went into the water, she sighed and said, "Aaahh.." It was the sweetest sound. She had a good bath. Scott dried her off and was getting ready to put the desitin on her when he noticed a patch of white splotches. Her yeast infection is back. I didn't think it could come back so fast. I was planning on calling the doctor tomorrow anyway, but now I have another reason.

Now Scott's playing Guitar Hero. Adia loves that game because she loves to rock. She was watching the screen when he first turned it on and started dancing. It was cute to watch her standing next to him, rocking out. She's my little punk rocker!

As you can tell from the picture, Adia has also decided she no longer likes to eat bread crusts. It used to be her favorite part, but no more. She makes a big pile of them and if I'm not fast enough, she swipes them all to the floor. Maybe she does that so she can eat them later, but it's a big mess for me to clean up. She also ate a large chunk of banana for breakfast. She still likes them, which is good.

And a video of Adia's new dance.
