She got lucky though. I explained to the doctor what had been happening, that she'd been on a gluten free diet for 3 weeks and was tested for food allergies and celiac, but both came back negative. I gave her 10-15 cheerios and she had instant diarrhea which caused her horrible diaper rash to return. His response was simple, just because the test say one it isn't celiac, real life is telling us otherwise. Since she's so young, it could easily be a false negative. If the gluten free diet is working for us, keep her on it and get her checked in a few years. The only other thing to do is a biopsy and that's not something we want or need to do right now. He let me know that if he could think of anything else, he'd let me know.
So Adia's gluten free again. It will be a few days before she gets back to normal. She has been "helping" with the laundry. She's also really gotten into the little people stuff. She liked them before, but she LOVES them now.
DiDi also arrived yesterday. She had her post op and is staying until tomorrow. Adia was very happy to see her. She loves playing with her DiDi. When Adia woke up at 2am last night, DiDi tried to get her back to sleep. Adia thought she was me at first and was giving her tons of kisses. When she realized it wasn't me the crying and "MAMA!" began. She ended up sleeping with me.
Adia did get in lots of playtime this morning. She was up bright and early at 7am. DiDi took her so I could get a little sleep. Adia ended up wearing DiDi out in a hour in a half. I woke up to Adia pounding on the bedroom door and screaming "MaMa!" I took it as my clue to get up. She's become a total mamas girl.
After Adia's nap, we took her to get some pictures done. The last time Adia had portraits done was 9 months ago! At first Adia was scared of the lady and everything around her. We got one terrified picture and I was really worried we weren't going to have any luck. We did! The other photographer happened to arrive just then. She had Adia smiling within minutes. We got some wonderful pictures!

Adia's now passed out in my lap. DiDi chased her around after her bath and got Adia in hysterics. Adia loves to be chased and play peek-a-boo, even though it was more like hide and go seek. Adia also got some naked time right after her bath. She wiggled away from Scott and started running around the house butt naked. She even spent a few minutes playing with her castle. Scott finally caught her and got her dressed, but much giggling ensued.

Her pictures came out beautiful! I love the one where she is smelling the rose! I'm glad the new doctor didn't disregard what you told him. I hope the gluten free diet works out for Adia, I really hope she outgrows the issue but atleast you know that there are lots of gluten free foods out there.
Her pics are beautiful. Sorry to hear about the gluten intolerance. Keeping to a gluten free diet can be difficult at times but there are more and better gluten free products every day. Good luck.
