She was not happy to be at the doctor's office. She's been there a lot lately and she's starting to recognize it. I do let her play with the toys though and she was all about the kitchen and the fish tank. She kept pointing at the fish and squealing. Then it was back to their little kitchen. She actually picked up the banana and said, "Ba Nana!" before trying to pop it in her mouth. Yuck, doctor's office toys and mouths. If she doesn't get super sick in the next week, I'll be surprised. We weren't in the waiting room for long. The doctor checked her eyes and gave us a card for a opthamologist. Adia now has an appointment to see an eye doctor on April 23rd. I mentioned Adia's diarrhea, gluten free diet and eczema. She just told me to be careful introducing new foods and was shocked by the change of her eczema. Gee.. thanks. Like I wasn't paranoid already.

Adia was all babbles during the car ride home. We went and checked the mail and then I was going to let her run free in the grass. Adia apparently doesn't like to run in the grass, but kept heading toward the concrete and the curb. I kept redirecting and trying to chase, but it eventually turned into a serious tantrum and Adia screaming and laying in the grass. I picked her up and we went inside. When Scott saw these pics, he thought the pine cone looked like a hand grenade.

"Don't make me throw it!"

"Big Feet and Hand Grenades"
From then on, our day was mostly a disaster. She screamed, tantrumed and wanted nothing to do with toys, food, sleep or me. She woke Scott up around 3 with all the screaming. She was happy to see him at first, but then went into full blown mommy mode. I couldn't even make dinner because every time Scott got near her, she'd throw herself down screaming. It was horrible. She didn't want to eat anyway and played at my feet or in my lap while I ate. She also guzzled out of her sippy. I think she may be teething again. It would explain the mood and the diapers.

Scott attempted to give her a bath, but Adia wasn't having it. The only way to keep her in the tub was for me to join her. She snuggled up close and eventually started playing. We then had a hard time getting her out of the tub. She wouldn't let Scott dress her either, so I did. After reading her the same book about a dozen times, she started to act sleepy. I made her a bottle, we snuggled in the glider and she was out by 7:45.

She's woke up again just a few minutes ago, but I easily got her back to sleep. Please let it be a good night. Mommy needs some sleep!
