We did our usual morning routine, but she appeared exhausted by 9. She hardly wanted to stay in her morning bath and fell right to sleep after getting dressed. I thought we might be getting another 3 hour nap, but no such luck. She only slept for about a hour. She was super silly when she woke up, which was surprising. We headed to the grocery store, but before she left, she had to make sure she brought her cell phone with us. She wouldn't leave the house without it. Scott says she just doesn't want to miss any important calls while she's out and about. She enjoyed riding the cart. She got super excited when she saw me pick up strawberries and grapes. She grabbed her animal cookies. That's when it dawned on me that she was probably hungry. Luckily I had some of her crackers with me. She gobbled up everything I handed her. When we got to the checkout line, she just stared at the cashier. Every time she'd ask Adia something or talk to her, Adia would just blink. She's always so worried that someone's going to steal her.
Adia was kind of cranky when we got home. I was hoping to get her to sleep again, but that never works. If she doesn't fall asleep in the car, it's not going to happen. She played with Scott for a little bit, but mostly wanted me. It wouldn't have been a problem, but after putting all the groceries away, my body suddenly hurt everywhere. Then I got a fever and chills and felt horrible. I just didn't have the strength or energy to play with her. I ended up taking a bath, hoping to feel better. Adia pounded and yelled at the door until I let her in with me. We took the longest bath together. She kept leaning against me and snuggling. Maybe she knew I didn't feel well.
After our bath, I started dinner. Adia wasn't happy that I couldn't hold her. I bought her more hamburger so I also had to make and freeze all her 1oz patties. It didn't take long and soon we were eating dinner. Adia devoured her hamburger, grapes and strawberries. She didn't eat much of her bread, but shared a cookie with Scott. She then took her 3rd bath of the day. Good thing baths are good for eczema. That bath wasn't as long though.

Watching Mommy make dinner and eating snacks with Daddy

After getting her pjs on, she was bright eyed and bushy tailed. She made a beeline for the goodwill bags by the door. One wasn't tied and she had soon scattered socks and underwear all over the floor. Every pair of underwear she took out, she attempted to put over her head. When she had them all out, she tried wearing the socks. It was a big mess, but so funny to watch. Scott was watching music videos on Youtube on the Wii and Adia was dancing to the music too. She loves anything with a good beat. She soon started to seem tired. She tripped over my foot and landed head first into the glider. She has her eye doc appointment on Thursday so I guess she decided she needs another black eye for it. Luckily it didn't bruise much. Today it's just a little red mark.

I got her to sleep by 9. I went to bed by 9:30, but the second I got comfortable, Adia started crying. She was up on all fours in bed. I picked her up and she let out the biggest burp. I laid on the floor with her, patting her back. She burped a few more times and sometime after that we both fell asleep. I woke up around 10:30, laid her back in bed and went to bed. Scott didn't know I was in there, he thought I was in bed. She was up again between 12 and 1. I heard her crying, but didn't respond right away, hoping she'd go back to sleep again. Next thing I know, she's crying "Mama" and wobbling down the hall. I called to her and she made a u-turn, running right into my arms. She went right back to sleep on my chest, but woke up again around 1:30/2 because she wanted to sprawl, but couldn't. Scott was sleeping with us and she normally lays on his side of the bed. I took her back to her bed, laying my hand on her chest until she fell asleep. She was up again at 4 so I brought her back to bed with us. For some reason, she thought 6:30 was a good wake up time. Scott took her and let me sleep until 9.
Now Scott and Adia are napping. Adia ate a good breakfast, eggs, grapes and strawberries. She took a bath and the let me know it was naptime. I have an eye doctor appointment at 3 today. Mommy needs a new pair of glasses. It's been almost 3 years since my last pair.
