October

I just love October. I know, the first day of October was yesterday, but today really felt like it. It rained. It really rained and we're supposed to have rain for the rest of the week, torrential downpours tomorrow. It's not normal Oregon without the rain and it's so funny to see Adia in the rain. She looks completely confused, but enjoys the puddles.

We went to Target this morning. She was bouncing off the walls before we left and fell asleep in the car on the way there. I should have known she was asleep when she stopped singing, "Noney, Noney." I luckily had my Kozy in the car and used it while in the store. Adia woke up just as I was getting ready to leave. She didn't want to be in it anymore so I took her out and managed to convince her to ride in the cart. We looked at Halloween costumes, but didn't find anything.

When we got home, I made Rice Krispie Treats using Cocoa Pebbles. Adia ate Cocoa Pebbles for lunch and then enjoyed the treats. We went outside to mail some letters and grab the mail. Adia explored the wet grass. She tried multiple times to sit down in the mud, or grass, or in puddles. She just didn't understand why the ground was so wet. She really wanted to go down the slide, but it was covered in water. She splashed in the water instead. I finally convinced her to come inside.

Daddy got up and showered and we headed to the mall. I wanted to check out the Halloween store for a costume for Adia. Adia loved riding up the escalators and also loved all the Halloween decorations. Daddy walked around with her while I looked at costumes. I didn't have any luck, but Adia had a blast. She didn't want to leave. We got her to leave by promising we'd see the puppies. I picked up a guinea pig and bunny for Adia to pet. She tried kissing them. We checked out Children's Place for costumes too. Adia tried hiding under all the clothing racks. She was so hyper. We had dinner at Chili's. Adia didn't eat much, but she had fun.

Daddy gave Adia a bath when we got back. She was being extra goofy and was happy to have her bubble bath again. It was the main reason we went to Target today. After getting out of the tub, Adia bounced around for awhile before going to bed. She fell asleep really easily and I think she's feeling much better. Her nose didn't run nearly as much today as it has been.
