Gamma and Gampa visited yesterday. Adia went nuts when she saw them and was even more excited when Gamma handed her the giant bucket of chalk. She carried it outside and we spent some time drawing with it. I think all the adults enjoyed it more than Adia who soon got sidetracked by the playground. Gampa was more than happy to go down the slide with her over and over again. As we headed back home, Adia became interested in the trees. Gampa helped her climb up the trunk and touch the leaves. Its turned into a game.

We went for Outback for a lunch/dinner. Adia wasn't interested in eating, but she had a blast playing. We also discovered that she likes maraschino cherries. The waitress even brought us some especially for Adia.

We did a little shopping after eating. Adia got a new movie, "Over the Hedge," and a cute Halloween outfit. I can't wait for her to wear it. We still have no idea what she's going to be for Halloween though. Gamma and Grampa stayed to watch a movie with us and left just before Adia decided it was night night.

I was amazed at how well Adia did yesterday without a nap and while feeling pretty icky. Her nose is still running like crazy and her eyes are red and swollen. She looked at little better today, but it's still rather obvious that she's not feeling like herself. She took a small nap on me today, but when I attempted to lay her down, she woke up screaming. She's so congested that she has problems sleeping laying down. I've been trying to prop her up and night, but she moves too much.

After Daddy woke up, we headed to ger my hair cut and hit the grocery store. Adia grabbed Daddy's hat and walked out the door. That was after spending 15 minutes looking for my keys. Earlier in the day Adia had felt my keys in my pocket and said, "Mommy keys please?" How could I resist a request like that? I gave them to her and she said, "Thank you" before running off, big smile on her face. After a bit, I forgot she even had them, which only became a problem when I wanted to lock the front door. We ended up finding them under a pillow. When we finally left, Adia went running through the grass and didn't want to get in the car. It's become a common occurrence lately. If you go out to get in the car, Adia wants to run around outside instead. We let her run for a moment before Daddy got her back in the car.

Adia ran wild while I got my hair cut, but they thought she was so cute that they gave her a balloon. Adia wouldn't take it from the lady, but she was happy to have it outside. We went grocery shopping and Adia would NOT ride in the cart. She was in a really silly mood though. When we got back home, Adia didn't want to go inside, but took off for the playground instead. Daddy came back out and went down the slide with her a few times.

Then it was dinner, bath and bed. Right now we're watching Over the Hedge and I'm hoping she sleeps better tonight. Mommy needs a good rest. I fell asleep for 15 minutes this afternoon while Adia was sitting on top of me watching Thomas the Tank Engine.
