Adia decided she wanted to watch videos on my laptop this morning and threw a tantrum when I tried to close it. She's very big into music, especially "Honey Honey" from Mamma Mia. She asks for it a million times a day and it's the only song she'll allow us to play in the car. I think I haven't it memorized and even when it's not on, it plays over and over in my head. At least she sings along or I wouldn't indulge her. I'd use my mommy veto powers more often. She loves music in general though and this morning we watched a little Silverchair and Savage Garden on youtube.

After finally succeeding at putting my laptop away, Adia decided she wanted to color. It's become her new favorite pastime, much to my delight, as long as she doesn't hide a crayon of later. I admit, I count the crayons before I put them back to make sure I have all of them. I like her art work, but we don't own out apartment and I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate her art like we do on their walls. She's most definitely a righty too. The other day I handed her chalk in the left hand and she attempted drawing. It was a funny sight to see. She just couldn't make the chalk work. When she was younger we thought for sure she would turn out left handed because that appeared to be her dominant hand. I guess not so much anymore.

DiDi and Tanae arrived today. Adia had been saying, "DiDi soon?" all morning and most of last night. I had told her she'd see DiDi on Saturday and I guess she knew what I meant. When DiDi did get here, Adia went berserk. She was squealing and hugging Tanae like crazy. Then she turned her affection to DiDi. We ended up heading to Costco. Ugh, Costco on a Saturday right after the beginning of the month is a bad place to me. Not to mention we arrived in the middle of a torrential downpour. DiDi dropped up off at the entrance and we still got wet, raincoats and all. Adia was in heaven though. She's a true Oregon duck. She had the biggest grin on her face and when I asked her if she liked the rain, she responded with, "YES! YES! YES!" She was really mad when we got under cover and could only watch it.

We wandered the aisles and managed to only get what DiDi had already planned on getting. I shared some chocolate covered cherries with the girls. We're still working on the whole please and thank you thing. Adia has thank you pretty much down, but the please is another story. When they both asked for more chocolate, I said, "What do you say when you want something?" Tanae responded with "I want some now." When I told her that wasn't right, they both said, "Thank you?" I then said, "No Adia, it's the 'p' word." She grinned and yelled, "pease!" It was so cute. A lady walking by even let out a little chuckle.

Adia and Tanae both have their Halloween costumes for this year too. I was thinking Adia was going to end up being a fairy again this year because everything I saw was either way too big or way too small. While walking in Costco, we found some really need costumes. They're costume vests! Adia really liked the alligator and so did Tanae so they ended up with matching costumes. When we got back to the house, they didn't want to take them off. Tanae even took hers with us to the mall, but DiDi didn't want it leaving the car. I can't wait for Halloween, they're going to look so cute. Now I'm wondering if I need a pair of green pants and a shirt too.

After lunch, we headed to the mall. I had some things to return to JC Penny and we knew the girls would like to play in the play area. Once again, it was Saturday, which always spells disaster at the mall. The girls did get to play a bit and no one got hurt. They were both tired though from lack of naps. While we were getting ready to leave, Unky Eck and his friend appeared. I think Adia was thoroughly confused on why he was here, but she was happy to hold his hand. We also ran into the cast of Star Wars characters for the Eugene Foreign Film Festival premiere. Adia thought the characters were pretty cool, but she wasn't so sure about Chewbacca. Tanae was positively terrified.

We checked out the puppies and kitties and Adia had to hug the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Company's bear. She's in love with that thing. She has to hug it every time we go to the mall. Tanae was terrified of it too, but Adia finally convinced her it was ok.

When we got home, Daddy was awake and it was time for dinner. Adia gave Daddy tons of hugs and kisses and waved goodbye when he had to leave for work. Tanae and Adia then got in the tub. Adia had already stripped herself and had been running around butt naked for a few minutes. Luckily, that usually doesn't result in a big mess anymore. Adia and Tanae played in the tub for quite a long time before Adia wanted out. I think she saw that DiDi was folding laundry and wanted to "help." We got all the laundry folded before Tanae wanted out of the tub. I swear she must have been in there a hour. The funny part though was when she told me she wanted out, I went to grab her and noticed the bathwater was bright teal! I was racking my brain trying to figure out what she could have grabbed from the tub to turn the water that color. That's when I noticed Adia's new Little Mermaid towel in the water. Luckily Tanae was stained blue and the bath tub's fine. I threw the towel in the wash and it made the wash water a lovely pastel blue.

Getting the girls to sleep was interesting tonight. DiDi took Tanae and Adia eagerly climbed into bed with me. She was so tired that we didn't get through all our books and only a couple songs before she was fast asleep. Tanae took a bit longer, but now they're all asleep. Unky Eck's here now too. Tomorrow is the pumpkin patch with Daddy, Gamma, Gampa, Unky Eck, Auntie Colie, Casey, DiDi and Tanae. It's going to be a muddy mess, but tons of fun. It's definitely one of my favorite days of the entire year. I'll also be buying a ton of apples for lots and lots of crockpot applesauce and apple crisp. I can't wait! I'm sure tomorrow or the day after's post will be very photo heavy.
