Adia was a total goof yesterday. She was trying to find anything and everything to get into trouble. I guess I don't feed her enough because she got stuck under her chair in the kitchen. Every time she eats, she drops food on the floor for later. I was a little slack when it came to picking up the cheerios and puffs. She certainly let me know. She was crawled under, got stuck and couldn't figure out how to get back out. She started complaining, and, I must admit, I started laughing. I grabbed the camera too. Adia smiled when she saw it, then realized she wasn't being rescued immediately. She'd fuss, see a cheerio, eat it and then start fussing again. I promise, she wasn't stuck under the chair longer than 5 minutes.

yes, she has my giant feet
We went for a short walk too and met DiDi after school. It wasn't raining when we left, but when we walked out, it was pouring. We had no umbrella and no raincoat for Adia. DiDi put her under her coat, but we still all got drenched. Adia didn't mind at first, but by the time we walked in the door, she was crying. After a quick dry off, she was ok again.

I've been having a horrible time lately getting her to eat anything but toast, cereal and goldfish, but we think we figured out why. Adia wants to feed herself. She started screaming at me last night until I handed her the spoon. Her face lit up and I thought dinner was over. Nope! I guided her hand to help scoop up the yogurt and then bring it to her mouth. She was so excited and did a really good job. We both ended up being sticky messes, but she finished the yogurt.

She got sidetracked before her bath. I'm not sure why she was in the kitchen (getting leftovers perhaps?), but she started using a water jug to walk around the kitchen. She was making laps around the table, but ran into trouble when she tried to head for the living room. She couldn't get the jug over the carpet lip.

Adia slept like a log with DiDi last night. She handed Adia to me around 7 when she had to get ready for work. Adia and I then slept until 9:30!! That's unheard of with her. She wasn't happy when she woke though. I should have taken that as a teething clue. She did play for a little bit before getting cranky again. Then it was breakfast, where she actually finished the eggo, and a shower. She was especially clingy in the shower, laying her head on my shoulder and occasionally crying. Totally not normal shower behavior. When we got out, she wanted a bottle and a nap. She stayed asleep for a little over a hour and seemed happy when she woke.

Her good mood lasted long enough to eat lunch and play, but cranky butt returned. I snuggled with her on the couch and she slept most of the afternoon. I gave her Tylenol when she woke and I got my happy baby back. We had dinner at Gamma and Gampa's house. Adia was excited to see them. Gampa thoroughly wore her out and tried his best to get her to walk. He didn't succeed, but came close several times. She preferred instead to walk, pushing their dining room chairs around the living room and kitchen. She also had a blast with their tupperware. At one point she was standing alone, squatted to pick up a lid and then stood up again! It's the first time she's ever done that.

The Tylenol started to wear off and cranky butt reappeared. We headed back to DiDi's and tried to give Adia a bath. It wasn't happening. She was just too tired. I gave her more tylenol and a bottle. She's definitely out for the night.
On a very good note, Adia's booty's looking so much better. All the A&D ointment and Desitin are really working.
