We've just been hanging around the house the last couple days because of the snow. We did venture out yesterday to go to the store. Adia was silly, as usual and loves playing peek-a-boo in the car.

At dinner, we discovered that Adia really likes to eat snow. Scott put a large snowball on her tray and she had a blast. At first she just moved it around the tray. Then she started breaking it into pieces. She soon got the hint, from Scott, that it was edible. She went nuts. It's her new favorite treat. Her hands were like ice when she got in the bath through and she was thoroughly soaked.

She's been an excellent eater the last few days. Last night she ate a slice of bread, a whole yogurt, 3/4 of a container of apple sweet potato and 1 oz of cheese. She also guzzled water. This morning she ate more cheese, an eggo and 1/3 jar of strawberry banana. Dinner tonight was more bread, yogurt and apple sweet potatoes. If only we could get her to stop spitting up so much. The more solids she eats, the more she spits up and the less bottles she'll drink.

Adia's also been incredibly cranky. Last night she was chewing on her finger and crying. Scott suggested that she maybe getting a new tooth on the bottom. He was right. Her lower, right lateral incisor has broken through the gum. When I stuck my finger in to check, I got bit, hard. I was surprised I wasn't bleeding. After some Tylenol and Orajel, she calmed down and was able to drink and bottle and sleep. The second I laid her in her crib though, I ended up with a screaming banshee. It was not a good night.

She seems very close to walking. Over the last couple days she started standing unassisted more and more. Earlier she was standing by the entertainment center and kept letting go. She seemed very proud of herself and no so scared of falling. If she did start to lose her balance, she'd touch the side of the entertainment center or sit down. Maybe she'll surprise us by walking this weekend.

ready for a walk

We're headed to the coast tomorrow. Scott took his 3 bereavement days for Opa's memorial service and an extra day in comp. He wants to spend as much time with his family as he can.
