rough night

We had a rough night yesterday. Adia just wouldn't stay asleep and it resulted in Scott and I getting less than 4 hours of sleep. It was horrible and when I got up, Adia was incredibly whiny. Eventually we got her in a good mood. She started playing with Scott and laughing like crazy. She's even learned to love the ballpopper. She used to be scared of it. If only she's chase the balls and put them back in.

After breakfast, where Adia ate almost an entire whole wheat eggo and a container of applesauce, we went for a walk. It was really cold outside, 40 degrees at the most. I put Adia in two pairs of pants and layers on top. I forgot her blanket and felt horrible. It wasn't bad on the walk to the mall, it was the walk back that was freezing. There was a cold wind and the sun wasn't shining as much. Adia started to get fussy on the way there so I held her awhile before Scott put her on his shoulders. Then she was in heaven. She loved watching the ducks and geese. She's a definite nature lover.

When we got to the mall, we walked around for a bit. Scott bought us frozen yogurt and I shared with Adia. She LOVED every bite. She kept motioning for more. We'll have to make sure we have plenty of ice cream for her 1st birthday. She got upset when there wasn't anymore. On our way back home, she started fussing. She was rubbing her eyes and looking very tired. We made her a bottle and handed it to her. Then we walked back with the stroller tipped back so Adia could drink. She woke up when we got home and her legs and hands were freezing. I felt so bad. We snuggled on the couch, but she refused to keep the blanket around her. Within minutes she was back to playing.

Adia was a big eater for dinner. I made garlic bread and while I was cutting the bread, I cut off the heal for her. She chomped on that piece of bread all through dinner. She came very close to finishing it before dropping it on the floor. She also ate an entire yogurt and played with some spaghetti noodles. She wasn't so sure about them or what she was supposed to do. She did put one in her mouth, but couldn't get a bite. Next time I'll have to boil up some fun pasta shapes for her since she now seems interested in real foods.

Adia had a nice long bath with Scott, lots of splashing and playing. After getting out of the bath, she didn't really want to play. She already seemed tired and wanted a bottle. I snuggled up with her on the floor and she drank 2oz before passing out. Scott and I watched a movie while laying on the floor and when it was over, Adia and I went to bed. She complained a little when we moved, but didn't wake up all the way. She woke up at 2am, but after a bottle, she went back to sleep until 6:30. I couldn't get her back to sleep then so Scott took her. She then slept until almost 9 when I woke up to her talking.

We ate breakfast together this morning. She ate 1/2 an eggo and 1/2 a container of strawberry banana. She's never had it before so I was amazed she ate so much of it. I didn't think she like bananas either, but I guess she does. She also drank out of a cup. I think we're mostly skipping sippy cups since she has better luck with cups. We took a shower together after breakfast and now she's napping.
