Not much to report. We're mostly just recovering from being sick, but Adia's still having diarrhea issues. She's not going through so many outfits a day anymore, but she is on her second sleeper for tonight. At least she's started eating normally again. She'll finish a whole yogurt and drink at least 24oz of formula a day. She still has her horrible cough though.

Adia started pointing at everything she wants. It's really cute and pretty effective. She was just pointing at Scott, but now, if it interests her, she points at it. Yesterday I was running a bath for us and she was standing next to the tub in her diaper. She kept looking at me and pointing at the water. Then she's smile and jump up and down. She's really good at letting us know what she wants. She'll also point at her sippy cup or puffs when she wants them.

We put the baby gate in the bathroom to keep her from the toilet. She gets really mad when we're on one side and she's on the other. Today the bathroom door was open and she crawled in there. I wasn't too worried since I could see her and she couldn't get near the toilet. Big mistake! Apparently she can close doors when she wants, but can't get them reopened. I looked down for a second and when I looked up, the door was closed. As I was getting up, the screaming started. She realized I was on one side of the door, I was on the other and she couldn't get to me. So there I was, trying to push the door open while she was sitting behind it, pushing it closed. Eventually she moved far enough back that I was able to wiggle in and grab her. She had tears streaming down her face and her forehead was all splotchy. We'll definitely be keeping the bathroom door closed, and latched, at all times unless we're in there too.

Sleeping hasn't been on Adia's agenda lately, which means it hasn't been on mine either. We had one good night where she slept until 6:30am in her crib and then until 9 next to me, but it hasn't been like that since. She's been up constantly and every time she wakes, she starts screaming. The only thing that makes it stop is a bottle. It seems that she knows she's about to lose bottle time when she hits 1 year. She's always loved her bottle, but it's like it has become an obsession. Soon as she hits 1, bye bye bottle, hello sippy cup. We've been trying lately, but she refuses. At least she'll drink water out of them.

While Adia was playing today, she reached up and turned on the stereo. We didn't even know she could reach that high, but with one easy movement, the music started. She seemed pretty proud of herself and started dancing. She was really mad when Scoot turned it off. She tried turning it back on, but didn't have any luck the second time.

Her Little People dollhouse is a favorite toy now (along with all her other Little People toys). We finally put batteries in it. She particularly loves the cats. She'll press on them, listen to it "meow" and then mimic the sound. We thought we were just hearing things the first time she did it, but she's repeated it several times since then.

Adia's started doing the "tada" again. She does it on cue, most of the time, unless there's a camera present. I did get some of it on video though.

Now it's time to get Adia to sleep. She's half asleep in my lap right now.
