Adia wasn't too cooperative at first, but once the doctor got going, Adia was excellent. She did everything the doctor asked and her eye even turned out a few times. Sadly, our appointments with the eye doctor will continue. It appears that Adia's eye might be getting worse so we have new treatment. For the next month, we have to put dilating drops in Adia's left eye once every three days. It will make her left eye blurry, so she'll be forced to use her right eye more, hopefully making it stronger. I hope it works since I don't know what the next step will be if it doesn't work. We go back in 6 weeks for another check up.
We ran to Walmart after her appointment to pick up Valentine's presents. I handed Adia the cards and presents as I picked them out and she repeated who they were for. I think she has them all memorized. I also picked up some paint brushes for her since she hates getting her fingers dirty to finger paint.
I tried to get Adia to eat some lunch, but she wasn't interested. She wanted to play in the sink instead so I let her. I filled up half the sink with soapy water and let her stand on a chair to play. She needs to grow another inch to really be able to look and see in the sink. She had lots of fun anyway and also drenched herself.
She then told me she wanted to paint. I stripped off her shirt and set her in her seat, handing her a paint brush. Once she figured out what the paintbrush was for, she had a blast. She still managed to get paint on her hands, her arm, her hair and her chest. She painted two pictures and then told me it was bath time. She just hates getting dirty.
Her bath wasn't very long, but she washed the paint off, including the paint in her hair. It was soon time to head to the pharmacy for Adia's eye drops and my protonix. Adia hadn't napped so she was getting pretty cranky, but I knew we had to go. The pharmacy was mobbed and mine wasn't ready yet so we wandered the store until they were finished. Adia turned into a total pill. She absolutely lost it and we barely made it out of the store in once piece.
We got home and Adia had a full on meltdown. Screaming at the top of her lungs, kicking and not responding at all. It was awful. Daddy finally got her to calm down after 10 minutes and she came running back to me. I picked her up and she snuggled up close. She was soon asking for pjs and I knew she was getting ready to pass out. Just as Daddy was bringing the pjs, Adia fell asleep. Her head hit my shoulder and we knew she was gone. I did managed to change her diaper after I laid her in bed, but she's still sleeping in her clothes. When I tried to lay her flat, she stirred and said, "Fish! Fish!" She talks in her sleep, just like her Daddy. I also put the drops in her left eye like the doctor recommended. Adia rubbed her eye, but never woke up. She's going to be seriously pissed when she wakes up though since her left eye will be blurry. It almost seems mean.
DiDi arrived just minutes after Adia fell asleep. Adia had been talking about seeing DiDi all day. I felt bad that they missed each other, but DiDi will be hear in the morning until she has to leave for training. Adia will get to see her after training though.
Our "big" ultrasound is tomorrow. I hope the babies let us see everything we need to see. I bet it's going to be an insanely long appointment. My ultrasounds with Adia were also really long and this time there's twice the baby to cover.
I do have pictures from yesterday's ultrasound. They're pictures of pictures so they're not great quality, but I will be scanning them this weekend.
