Adia's doing surprisingly well with the switch to her bed. She chooses that one to sleep in at night and has really taken ownership of it. The first night she slept about half the night in it before I was awakened by a small voice saying, "Mommy?" I got up and she saw sitting on her bed, looking around. She saw me and said, "I hold you, Mommy." I climbed in with her, she snuggled up close and we both fell back asleep until morning.
Last night was a little tougher because Adia didn't want to go to sleep. It took over 90 minutes to get her to sleep and I fell asleep multiple times, so did Daddy. That resulted in me forgetting her eye drops. Whoops! Her eye's still dilated though so I'll just do it tonight. Fingers crossed that I remember. I checked on her when I went to bed and she was sideways. I checked on her again when I got up to pee a couple hours later and she was the other direction. About a hour after I peed, I heard her again, "Mommy??" This time she was standing on her bed, looking upset. Maybe I didn't hear her the first time she called and she was getting worried. Her bed's a little tall for her to safely get out of in the middle of the night. I climbed in with her, she snuggled up and we slept until 7. She woke up super happy and silly, which is always good.
So far so good. She's been sleeping half the night alone, which is great for her and just weird for me. I haven't slept alone in 2 years?! I guess technically I'm not though since there's two fast growing babies in my belly. Adia also napped in her bed yesterday. She didn't fall asleep there, but she didn't even stir when I laid her down in it from the car.
