Operation Early Bedtime: Day 2

Ugh. I think that's a good word for last night. The girls were all out by 8pm, but Leia woke up at 2a. Mira soon followed at 3a and she was wide awake. Leia then started screaming. Like blood curdling, someone's beating me, hysterical screaming. It was awful. It woke Adia, Mira couldn't sleep, I was losing my mind so I moved one of the pack and plays into Adia's bedroom. I just couldn't take it anymore. Leia then screamed for almost a hour. When she finally calmed down, I went into check on her. The second I opened the door, I could smell the poop. She had a seriously nasty diaper. I took Mira and Leia out to the living room because Adia had finally fallen back asleep. I was up until 5am with them. I then left them on the floor and went back to bed with Adia. They woke up again at 7a. It was a very rough night, but Adia was mostly good today. The twins seemed tired.. gee, I wonder why.

So we did an early bedtime again tonight. The twins knew exactly what was going to happen when I put them at the table. I couldn't feed them fast enough. They were gobbling down their food and screaming for more. We tried peas tonight. Mira ate a couple bites, but then spit them back out. We'll try them again tomorrow. Leia had one bite and that was it. Then Adia got in the tub and I quickly bathed the twins. Adia got soap in her eye. I felt horrible. I tried to get as much out as possible, but it was so red. Then we headed to the living room. I read books to Adia while giving the twins bottles. Mira drank 7.5oz. She never drinks that much. Leia only had about 5oz, so I'm sure she'll be up again later. Adia was asleep by 7:15 and the twins were out by 7:30. Now they're all in their beds, listening to lullaby music. Mira already woke up once, but she had a burp. I picked her up and promptly got puked on. There's a reason cry it out doesn't work well at our house. They seem to only cry because something really is wrong.

So I'm hoping tonight goes better. I'm going to try to go to bed by 10. I really am. I promise. ;)
